The Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread: ARCADE EDITION!

No it’s not. X-23 isn’t technically Wolverine’s clone. She’s more like his daughter. Wolverine’s DNA was combined with Dr. Sarah Kinney’s DNA to create her. Not only that Cammy has no physical similarities to Bison at all. At least if Cammy was a clone of Decapre with Bison’s DNA woven in, you could handwave away the lack of a physical resemblance.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I always found it funny that Bison was going to use Cammy’s body for himself. I mean, going from a muscular, badass looking dictator to a petite, but powerful blonde girl just seems so…different. I know it’s all about attaining the most powerful body, but damn.

No, your daughter would have 50% of your DNA. Cammy has all of Bison’s DNA and then some. She is a non-identical clone. You realize that within your DNA is also the potential to be a woman? Meaning you could’ve just as easily turned out to be a woman, it was a coin toss. You could’ve even ended up with completely different eye, skin, hair colors, because of something called dominant and recessive genes. It is as if Bison and Cammy are fraternal twins, both share the same DNA but they are not physically similar. Being 100% physically identical is not a prerequisite to being a clone in the true sense of the word. There’s nothing wrong with this plot point scientifically speaking.

Also the more probable scenario is that Cammy is a clone of Decapre, since Decapre was the first creation. She went through experiments resulting in her scarring and instability. She suffered so Cammy wouldn’t have to.

To be fair, Cammy and Decapre were likely developed alongside the male human incubator clones. So Bison experimented with both female and male host bodies in the same time period. The females went on to become enhanced dolls and the males went on to become cyborgs.

It might be strange for us, but from Bison’s inhuman point of view, the gender/sex of the vessel is irrelevant. He’s just a driver, looking for the best cars - whatever they may be.

It’s funny, but also kind of scary; if several of us woke up in a different body that was radically different by ability, weight, or even at most, gender, we’d be freaked out and have to come to terms with that through a lot of hard work. For Bison, he just doesn’t care. He just sees his body as a shell housing a spirit/essence that has become so powerful it’s eclipsed his original body. He’s beyond being self conscious or psychologically affected by body issues. Whether he’s wearing the skin of an middle aged ambiguously brown man, a young Japanese man, an Italian woman or a young British girl, it doesn’t mean a thing to him as long as he has his power. This type of attitude really drives home the point that he’s rather post-human.

I mean really think about that. Getting to the point that a body, your body is something temporary and unimportant to your identity is terrifying.

There’s a few possible reasons for that:
-Cloning Y chromosomes could be a pain in the ass (isn’t that a trope with clones?)
-Bison’s more powerful iterations use Psycho Power more than raw strength, so his build is no longer necessary for him
-Applying the laws of physics/forces, a smaller body would require less energy to fly/teleport, freeing up more for Bison to use

Spoiler

-Maybe he’s a closet transsexual?

Bison was just getting ready for this:

Uhm,from what I know is Decapres instability in SFIV S.I.N’s fault as they tried to remove her mind controll, thats her mental instability, she seems to be infected with BLECE,what would also explain her physical problems.

Another thing is that Decapre has the same problem all Dolls have, thats the locked personality. The Dolls have all their true personality locked in themself and they actually can break trough the mind controll if one of two scenarios happen.

  1. They break trough by themself, because of strong feelings,People they love etc.
  2. Someone else frees them, like Dhalsim did with Cammy in Alpha.

Decapres “hate” against Cammy results from the mindcontroll. Something like this can happen if the mindcontroll and the true personality start to fight, what probably happend as Cammy and Decapre meet again.

I’m also 100% sure that Cammy is at least 1-2 years OLDER than Decapre. I base this on Decapres SFIV intro:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ir7EuAt5xqo

It’s grey but if you pay attention to the eyes, you will see the difference. The little girl has darker greener eyes, the older ones are blue.
There’re 3 ways to say who is who:
1)The eyecolor,Cammys are blue,Decapres green.
2)The hair color, Cammys are blonde, while Decapre goes more into the Platinium direction.
3)Their face. This doesn’t count for the video, but Decapres burned face should make it easy to identiefi her.

Another thing would be their voice, Decapres russian accent is sexier than Cammys.

Thats actually one of the reasons why I want Decapre in SFV. Capcom started to make her interesting and then just droped the ball. I want to know what would happen if The Sisters would meet again in V.Especially since Cammy asked in one of her Dialouges in SFV first where Decapre is and then where the Dolls are.

Edit: I need a new keyboard.

Meh, they can always retcon this to state she was brainwashed to believe she was Bison’s clone…

Decapre to Cammy (from the same video you posted)

“It’s alright, your big sister is right here.”

Get out.

Furthermore, BLECE isn’t an infection or something that influences fighters like you suppose. BLECE is a chi-bomb maker, it makes bombs out of a fighter’s chi.

This always made the most sense to me. We know that Cammy was implanted as an English citizen, but we know all the dolls were kidnapped from their listed birthplaces. If Decapre’s origins are listed as Russia, chances are she was the one who was kidnapped.

Meh, the SF4 series plot was always nothing more than throwing shit to the wall to see if something sticks. I wouldn’t be surprised if all those plot threads are left hanging here onwards and never get resolved, just like Street Fighter III.

Capcom would need to make an actual follow-up to SFIII for anything to be resolved from that game.

Street Fighter storyline is mostly an afterthought XD

Spoken like a laymen, because that was in the 90s. When every SF series was practically a continuity in and of itself.

In the Modern Era, starting with SF4 there is a serious attempt to rewrite and reframe the story as cohesive and consistent as possible. For all intents and purposes they succeeded. SF3’s story is fine and generally cohesive on its own. But if SF5 directly leads into SF3:2i, one will finally be able to say that the SF timeline will be complete, and that we can finally move on beyond 3S.

Re: Decapre and Cammy’s accents.

Have you ever seen the film Salt? Some children trained from a young age to be sleeper agents - spies, informants, assassins. They are taught a number of languages/accents and all the tools needed to blend in with the general populace to best achieve their goals. It’s not that farfetched to presume Cammy and Decapre were taught such things. I wouldn’t be surprised if they speak several languages.

From an OOU perspective, we know that their accents are left over from previous versions of themselves, before the retcons. I like that Capcom kept them, it gives them history.

Still an afterthought. Most Street Fighter games are produced to cash in, not to tell a story.

Nope. In fact all of them except for Gill and probably Charlie, were supposed to be dead, them being alive was a RETCON. If anything, they can bring Goutetsu back from dead by whatever mean they want, even as a zombie or whatever.

I’m not for that, I’m just saying add him as a bonus character, but Capcom could totally bring him back to live if they wanted to.

Summed up perfectly. I was mainly focused on the idea of Bison using a woman’s body just from a visual POV. Now when looking at it from the standpoint of someone who’s just using *another *disposable body to further his goals, it makes perfect sense.

Bison really is one of a kind.

Don’t use ‘in fact’ if you can’t support your claim.

Gouken was the only one on the list that was retcon in the true meaning of the word.

Everyone else’s fate was left open ended. The last entry in the series involving all these characters before the series died in the 90s was SFA3. As of SFA3:

Charlie was still MIA at the end of SFA3.
Gen never died in SFA3, and was never proclaimed dead by Capcom at any point in time.
Bison kept telling us through out SFA3 that he is immortal, and that he will be back. He even showed us how in Rose’s ending. Bison was never really dead. Capcom themselves confirmed this years before SF4 that Bison was alive during the time of SF3.

There was no retcons to bring back these three.

If Capcom wanted, he could bring any character back from the dead. That’s the FACT. They have done it before, and they can keep doing it.

Who the fuck are you arguing with? Not one person in this thread said otherwise.

Things I would rather read than a Magegg post:
-Daemos/Yagami’s bromance with Vasil
-Cipher explaining why Cammy’s power level is over 9000
-ParryAll explaining why Urien and Gill are based off of Seth
-A Necro x Oro slash fic
