Random Theory #726 - Alex is trained in the Charlie school of MCMAP. He isn’t proficient enough to do the Sonic Boom or Flash Kick, but uses the insight he gained on sound manipulation using ki to enhance his Flash Chop and Slash Elbow. Alex basically mixes Charlie’s MCMAP and Tom’s wrestling.
Alex is probably knows Guile and will be tagging along with Guile, Chun Li and Cammy to ‘investigate’ Charlie, Shadaloo and the Illuminati. Edit - As seen in the UDON comics.
Wasn’t Alex’s mentor the one who had the military training? If Alex’s style takes after Tom’s, then he may have been acquainted with Charlie or Guile to have trained with them. Alex is also one to visit military bases, so he too may have some connection with Guile and Charlie. It would actually be way more plausible for Alex to have been trained by either Guile or Charlie. Rather than Remy, who has special moves that resemble the Sonic Boom and Flash Kick.
They’ll probably take after the comic where Alex knows Guile through Tom. (Note: Tom will not be shown to avoid a Jean Reno lawsuit)
Actually, this opens up some questioning as to what the other DLC characters are doing. Guile/Boxer are pretty obvious, but what of the others? Is Ibuki just dicking around for dick like SF4, or actually on a mission like SF3? Is Juri working for anyone in SFV or is she a free agent? What exactly is Urien doing?
Now this is just me defending Chun-Li, but in Chunny’s defense, she did take a full kick to her stomach with all that energy pulsating out her body. I don’t think Cammy took any hits as devastating as that. And I would think that Juri and her eye would do way more damage than what Viper and her gadgets can do.
Cammy got electrically molested plus a rocket propelled boot to her noggin, while Chun gets a ki powered kick to the chest which sends her to the ICU. Both are pretty devastating if you ask me. Although from the look on Cammy’s face, and her obvious need of assistance from Guile to stand, indicates she probably wasn’t any better off than a bedridden Chun.
I still think Chun Li, in terms of ki, is the strongest female. They basically made the MvC version of Kikosho canon in the SF4 C.Viper aftermath trailer. The thing left Bison in a crater the size of a stadium!!! That’s akin to Akuma level power.
That makes me wonder. I hope this question doesn’t start another flamewar, but, which female SF is the strongest physically? No female, as far as I know, has her strength emphasized. It’s usually speed and agility.
I’d imagine it’s probably either Mika or Cammy. It’s hard to gauge how much physical strength her augmentations give her, but Cammy is definitely stronger than normal…if that is beyond “strong” by ki-enhanced standards is hard to say. Mika has definitely shown more raw physical might, however, with the kind of grapples and throws that she uses.
Put a gun to my head and I’d probably say Mika as my answer especially circa SF5 where she looks damn strong. A Bison-possessed Cammy would probably wield more physical might, however, thanks to Psycho Enhancement. Without it? Not so much.
Except no one in the thread thinks Vega is the toughest, bestest, super-duper-est SF male…so…no, that comparison makes no sense. Vega is my favorite SF character in the lore but I’m not biased towards him regarding strength…because that’s irrelevant as long as he’s shown as bare-minimum competent (which all non-joke characters almost always are in SF). Vega would get beat down by the entire upper echelon of the cast and can easily lose to guys even below him in any kind of tier because of his numerous deficiencies both as a person and as a warrior…which are actually some of the things I like about him.
Some of us aren’t obsessed with wanking imaginary characters strength-levels and are interested in their personalities, flaws included (and embraced!) instead of just needing them to be uber to justify our worship of them and project power fantasies onto.
He was actually being snide and referring to me and my affinity for Bison. Vas never really uses the overseas names because he wants to maintain the illusion that he is authentic with his Japanese.
That’s until you realize they upgraded Akuma’s power level to several football fields. (See SSF4 ending)
Ingrid aside, I think in terms of raw ki power it is Juri with her eye who is strongest. Followed by Chunner or Rose. We haven’t seen much of Rose’s power but I am sure she can be OP as fuck. Problem is her Soul Power expends her life force/her body as we saw in her Alpha 1 ending which maybe reason why she doesn’t abuse it or show it off to the maximum of her abilities.
For raw physical strength it’s probably Mika. Cammy likely has the best endurance, like a cat she has 9 lives.
I’d say Mika is the strongest in terms of raw strength followed closely by Chun, although Chun can easily amp her strength with ki as we see in her VTrigger. Chun Li is the strongest in terms of being able to freely control her ki. Juri can at times be devastating, being able to destroy a plane by sending ki through a kick delivered to Guile. But we can see that Chun can be just as devastating when she’s focused, being able to wipe out a whole swath of forest with a Kikosho; a technique which I believe has varying degrees of intensity. Sakura and Ibuki have strong potential in ki energy as well, and before Juri’s introduction I would’ve considered one of them as second to Chun
Rose would probably be the most esoteric of all of the females. She was also able to defeat Bison in Alpha 2, only to fall later in Alpha 3. Decapre ties with Rose in this category, because of her use of Psycho Powers.
Chun Li may have the strongest legs of the World Warriors, but there’s one person in the SF canon that could match her. At least in terms of muscle definition.
You think Chun hasn’t skipped a leg day? Compare her, in her prime, to Muscle Bombers Black Widow!
Looking at Chun-Li’s Kikosho I can’t help but think if this Super was inspired by Dragon Ball Z in a way, since you often see this kind of energy or explosions or similar design
In fact, has Street Fighter ever borrowed from Dragon Ball franchise at all? I can’t think of a sinlge such think on top of my head
One of the reasons why I ranked Juri over Chun-li in terms of ki (besides how easy Juri can dismiss her, Guile, and Cammy):
Stops bullets in midair
Blows up entire buildings effortlessly and at a moment’s notice
Guile and Cammy’s statements on Juri’s ki levels (‘never seen anything like it’ etc)
All while FSE still in prototype stages
Juri basically has boss levels of ki. Chun-li isn’t on the same level because she is only human and rarely can humans in the SF universe keep up with technology (otherwise the villains wouldn’t invest in technology in the first place). I guess what Chun-Li has going for her (besides being the first lady of fighting, the face of Street Fighter, etc.) is that she probably is the strongest natural female fighter in the world. She would wipe the floor with Juri again and again if that eye ever malfunctions. Consider that even if Chun can generate massive Kikoshos, she won’t be able to generate them at the same frequency as a machine like the FSE. To put it in another way, Juri’s metaphorical Super Meter is always full or fills up ridiculously faster than a normal human’s thanks to her eye.
Black Widow reminds me Twelve more than Chun-Li, hehe.
