The Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread: ARCADE EDITION!

I would like to remind everyone that I find it REALLY fishy that Sakura, Dan, and Cody did not get bios with the other characters from Alpha/Final Fight, Viper and Hakan didn’t get bios with Abel/Rufus/Fuerte, and Honda/Blanka/Fei/Hawk/Dee Jay weren’t mentioned either. I won’t speak on SF3 characters because they probably aren’t done covering them yet, but so far I’m noticing a few odd absences.

This isn’t to say the characters who did get bios WON’T be in Season 2. I think Oro is still a shoe-in, but the lack of Sakura and Cody feels like there’s something planned for those two. In the popularity poll (link) only five characters from the top 15 aren’t in SFV. Three of them, Sagat/Akuma/Q, have been given concept artworks at least. Not mentioning Sakura with the Alpha characters, even though Karin refers to her by name in a winquote against Ryu and she appears at the end of Karin’s prologue, feels intentional. Cody not being brought up with Guy/Maki/Carlos is also odd, and leads me to think they’re still figuring out where they want to go with him.

They better not fucking include DeeJay or Hakan into this game, fuck those characters

Also seem fun that Haggar was supposed to be in Karin’ stage, maybe he will join Kanzuki’s group against shadaloo?

Sound strange alliance but since in cinematic trailer we see that New York Metro City is on flames and one of the targets in Bison big terrorist attack, i can see The Mayor get involved

But tbh before that will be cool see Shadaloo do to Mad Gear gang the same they did to that chinese mafia gang Fang come from.
Belger was a decent villain too, will be cool put him in some way under Bison’s legacy… being invent a 17th version of him still alive, or as lineage (like Belger’s son or something like that)

Tbh Belger will be a better “shadaloo king” than Rog, who ever looked to me a simple goon more than a large scale Boss

Actually shadaloo never looked as “4 Kings”.
This concept will have worked if each King ruled over an are in USA (Rog), Europe(Vega) and South Asia (Sagat), with Bison over them all, summoning them when there’s important shit to do.

For how we see them they look more like super classic mafia clichè subordinates

M.Bison: Boss
Sagat/Fang: right-hand man
Vega: hitman
Balrog: goon
Juri: hot, treacherous Boss’s babe

Blacker Baron is what a true Shadaloo King Rog should be (except the voice lol) and will never be

or if you don’t go pimp, SF2 OAV classy Rog in tuxedo, but even there he was just somebody’s subordinate

He should look rich and be the one who give orders… SF4 alt (2, 3?) kinda go in that direction, but still look low level lol

I liked it. Too bad the online was bonkers, and the “infinite” combos weren’t very fun either. A fun beat em’ up game though. Colourful cast of characters.

Just found something interesting I don’t think many people know about R. Mika. Apparently she hasn’t had a confirmed bday til recently which is now confirmed to be March 3, although apparently everywhere else has her bday listed as May 17.
