I would like to remind everyone that I find it REALLY fishy that Sakura, Dan, and Cody did not get bios with the other characters from Alpha/Final Fight, Viper and Hakan didnât get bios with Abel/Rufus/Fuerte, and Honda/Blanka/Fei/Hawk/Dee Jay werenât mentioned either. I wonât speak on SF3 characters because they probably arenât done covering them yet, but so far Iâm noticing a few odd absences.
This isnât to say the characters who did get bios WONâT be in Season 2. I think Oro is still a shoe-in, but the lack of Sakura and Cody feels like thereâs something planned for those two. In the popularity poll (link) only five characters from the top 15 arenât in SFV. Three of them, Sagat/Akuma/Q, have been given concept artworks at least. Not mentioning Sakura with the Alpha characters, even though Karin refers to her by name in a winquote against Ryu and she appears at the end of Karinâs prologue, feels intentional. Cody not being brought up with Guy/Maki/Carlos is also odd, and leads me to think theyâre still figuring out where they want to go with him.
I donât find that one suspicious because I donât think theyâve done the SF2 section yet. Akuma was really just lumped together with Gouken and Goutetsu, and everyone else is already in SF5.
