@“Doctrine Dark” If you could check on Sodom’s entry on Pastebin article I had to make a couple revision’s to the translations because it was probably the hardest one I’ve done so far. Wasn’t sure about a lot of his SFZ2, and wasn’t sure if “Japanism” (Japanese style) was a thing til I seen it mention in another one of his biographies somewhere, but the one I linked should be the most accurate afaik. I also had a fun time with this certain part…
So I basically had to cut around the crap and come up with:
Butsu-Metsu Buster is a technique I suppose is named to be worrisome as it alludes to a “badluck day” like Friday the 13th. I’m assuming he intends to make his names sound frightful as he has other techniques like his Jigoku (地獄 “Hell”) scrape.
Anyways just be wary I may have changed some of the entries and I’ll let you know if I can come across any others I may ave edited, but for now Sodom was a major one I wanted to let you know about.
Honestly, Adon’s background makes it sound like he never encountered Ryu. If they did fight, I assume that Adon got beat and then expected Sagat to redeem him in the art of Muay Thai, since Sagat is the representative of all Muay Thai and Thailand. Then when Sagat fell through instead conceding to the fact that Muay Thai might be an inferior art, he instead tries to reinvigorate the art itself by removing the now defeated Sagat from the throne. I’m assuming since since Sagat had more to lose than Adon did in his defeat, he did more in shaming the art of Muay Thai and Thailand because of his status as a national hero. Adon’s just a pupil of his, so in some ways his loss could be attributed to learning from Sagat. Therefore breaking away from and challenging Sagat would be the best way to reinvigorate the sullied art.
The whole Akuma vs Adon rivalry was something I thought was interesting coming out of the Alpha series that SF4 just dropped the ball on, among other things from Alpha series like Akuma vs Gen rivalry, and M. Bison being somewhat interested in Adon as a recruit, or Birdie’s mo hawk rivalry with Gief (actually SFV dropped the ball on this one. I haven’t covered that yet as it’s in Birdie’s bio). Just a good handful of missed plot opportunities.

**I hope Capcom had better or atleast close story mode for interactive cinematics like this guys/developers of pachinko. ** [/details]
In CR edition it like Sakura as flashes to his memories, less bonus games,
added a Car bonus stage, less ryu focus, less fight interactivity and you get to play as rest of the characters
Yeah, that’s pretty much how I feel. Adon’s win quote to Ryu in SF4 really says nothing, and I always thought that was odd. You’d think he’d have something to say to Ryu, but nope. The old plot guide said Adon was quickly taken out by a Shoryuken, but I never knew where that originated from. It’s possible that Adon never fought Ryu, or like you said, he assumed Sagat would win by since he held him in such high regard. One of the annoying things about SF4 Adon is the fact that he portrays himself as a god…and really believes it. We always knew he was arrogant, but that’s taking it to a whole other level.
Btw, here’s Nash and Mike’s SF2 bio. I totally overlooked them when going through them weeks back:
Did anyone really expect anything major from Alex’s character story? He’s not gonna play any sort of a big role until the Illuminati are out on the scene, which is probably not gonna happen anytime soon
Thanks, bak. Yeah, Mike’s SF2 profile is more or less the same as his SF1 profile. Nash’s original fate is much different than what we see in Alpha. Then again, a lot of stuff changed with the introduction of Alpha.
I never knew Birdie had a hair rivalry with Gief, lol. That’s pretty cool.
The AAC book covers Capcom fighters from 1987-2000, so that’s why there’s no SF4 bios. We’re going to eventually add SF4 bios to the guide, though. I guess it’s just a matter of finding a Japanese source for information or simply adding the information we already know from the games. Whichever is preferred by the majority.
