Wait a minute, I just realized something. In Alex’s story, the first set of holograms he bodies are Dan, Hakan, and Honda. In the SFV character relation chart:
Dan, Hakan, and Honda are together in the chart in the yellow box above Ryu. I have no idea what this means, but it seems they are related somehow. In the UDON comics, Dan works for Honda at his sumo camp. This may be at least partially true within SFV, especially if Sakura and Blanka are no longer helping him and bringing in money.
BUT WAIT, THE RABBIT HOLE GOES EVEN DEEPER!
Here’s Sodom’s Alpha 2 Ending:
What if they build on this when they bring Sodom back, and tie him into this group as a student/fan of sumo? This not only gives him relevance to non-Final Fight characters (a reason Capcom claims he was left out), but also makes use of his actual wrestling background and ties him to the greater wrestling circuit of which Zangief, Mika, and Laura are members.
Dan, Honda, and Hakan are all listed in the yellow box as “searching for students & a gourmet journey”. I’m guessing they’re all in the same trying to push their respective arts and gain students. I known Honda loves food and I’m assuming Hakan uses his oil for food, but idky Dan would be on a gourmet journey with them.
One thing that we can say for sure is that the New York stage will have some major part to play this upcoming June as they refuse to use it in any fashion for the prologue story.
Yeah, it’s going to go down in NYC. I imagine once the fighters gather together for the huge tournament, Bison is going to start fucking shit up. It’d be funny if that huge power outage shown in the trailer happens during the tournament.
Something about the New York stage that’s intriguing
The guy in the background with the green shirt talking to the cops is always pointing up at something. I’m assuming he’s the one who caused the accident; as his car is the one facing on coming traffic having hit the truck, but I wonder why he keeps pointing upward when he’s trying to explain to the cops what happened. It’s almost like he’s trying to show the cop something in the sky, and the cop doesn’t believe him because of all the commotion going on.
If anything seems wrong or missing, please let me know. Haven’t been feeling like myself today.
Note also that the order of the files can be a little odd, and some files simply have no audio.
It’s kinda funny how the stage is called “City in Chaos” yet pretty much the only thing close to “Chaotic” about it is the upside-down car on the street and the sedan+truck crash. Unless the stage’s name is playing on the foreshadowing of Bison’s plan
Also for being a stage based off of New York the population seems pretty stagnant. Maybe the night version of the stage will yield more chaotic results?
Yea. I was just thinking maybe the accident might have had something to do with some guy spotting it while driving and becoming distracted.
Is it just me or does it look like there’s a lot of smoke and dust clouds in the background of this stage? Almost like a building fell or a bomb went off, something that would cause a lot of debris. It’s something that’s bugged me since this stage was shown. At first I thought it was just a weird skybox but if you look closely you can see it’s around street level.
It just seems to be a cloudy day, check out this video with the Vega glitch and you’ll see it’s just lots of clouds https://youtu.be/T15K-JVlhbQ?t=1m7s
Most likely. If we go by the Cinematic Story trailer - you can tell that all lights are out across the city (I believe the City in Chaos stage we see in the daytime is just before the Spheres emit the EMP shockwave across the globe), and there are a few scenes (Charlie walking through Metro City, and Chun-Li meeting Rashid, mistaking him for a criminal/Shadaloo affiliate) where you can see there are flames, probably after explosions caused by stuff like traffic crashes, since AFAIK EMP shockwaves also completely disable the car engines, meaning they’d get uncontrollable, causing casualties as well
