It looks really damn cool, too! Not that I dislike the Yodele of his, but it’s kinda sad they only used such unique win animations in pretty much CVS2 and never had them again afterwards. Vega is a prime example of that. I’d love to see that snake in SFV as an optional animation. Maybe sometime in the future they’ll sell such cosmetics as DLC in the Shop
That would be the case if the jacket fit him, but it DOESN’T, so he easily COULD have bought it off the rack.
Jackets that fit are supposed to be able to be buttoned in the front. That jacket he wears has like 2 feet of space open in the front.
He’s clearly wearing a jacket that is many sizes too small for him.
When I first saw that win pose, I thought it was only a matter of time before he’d be blasting energy out of his claws.
This would be my third post, lol. I, honestly, don’t see myself posting much, if at all of course (probably rarely and barely).
Looking at Juli’s bio, I’m STILL hoping Capcom won’t retcon the T.Hawk x Juli stuff!
As a shipper, it’s actually the BIGGEST reason I like T.Hawk. I used to really hate the guy.
Some of the things I really like about that stuff is:
- The first playable female character in a relationship in Street Fighter. You don’t really see that. The guys can be in relationships/marriages but the women aren’t. I think it would be fantastic to see something like this break the mold a bit more!
- It’s an interracial coupling (a Native American Mexican/Indigenous man and German European woman)! Besides Ken x Eliza, it’s not something you see very much of either. In the world we live in now, it’s pretty commonplace to see interracial couples and I think it’s nice to see it get reflected in Street Fighter.
- T.Hawk and Juli as a playable couple! That also hasn’t been done before in Street Fighter either.
To me, I find those things EXCITING prospects! I find all this VERY unique imo.
One of my favorite couples in general from Capcom is Hayato x June (from Star Gladiator/Plasma Sword)! I’m just totally into the whole romance/family aspect specifically (and which I also like Ele, the possible future daughter of Hayato and June)! The aging/legacy part just doesn’t enter into it for me.
Do Capcom even HAVE any other official Playable x Playable couplings in their fighting games? I can’t really think of any other ones off the top of my head.
Another favorite coupling of mine is Ky x Dizzy from Guilty Gear and of Arc System Works! Now I never played Guilty Gear after the first game (so I skipped X, XX and 2 Overture). I came back for Xrd Sign. Dizzy is fairly new to me. I’m not very familiar with her at all. Ever since I played the first game, I’ve always been a BIG fan of Ky! I really love the whole JUSTICE thing he got going on, lol. People may think he’s bland and boring but I don’t care about that. Through Ky, I am definitely more interested in Dizzy than I was before! I’d like to know more about her and play as her as well. If she didn’t have the association with Ky, I don’t feel like I would care as much about her. It would probably be the same thing with Sin since he’s their kid. I think you can also get NEW fans based off who is associated with who, like me!
With SNK, they seem to have more Playable x Playable couplings…but I don’t know…I don’t really care for how they portray them very much. I’m a big fan of Ryo x King but nothing ever happens. There’s no progress. Andy x Mai, I’m not fan of this coupling but what the heck is the status on that? My lasting impression on it is Mai creating some sort of a sock puppet of Andy and Andy facepalming because he’s embarrassed for himself or her in their intro together in one of the King of Fighters games. I’m really not sure what’s going on with that. Are they still doing that stuff??? Robert x Yuri is okay but I was surprised when Robert pulled out a wedding ring in the King of Fighters 13 Art of Fighting Team Ending. I…couldn’t believe it. I thought he’d be dating her FOREVER, lol. I thought it was cool to see it as an engagement would be the next logical step though. Terry x Blue Mary seems alright, maybe a bit low-key. That might be the best way to handle a relationship for SNK. It’s this whole ambiguous/vague/will-they/won’t they kinda thing that bothers me. I don’t really like that. I’m not into the relationships getting dragged and drawn out too long. Just make it happen already, ya know?! That kind of thing also happens with Lei Fang x Jann Lee and Hitomi x Ein/Hayate (this one I AM big fan of, lol) of Tecmo’s Dead or Alive series fame. There seems to be a lot of teasing but nothing else. No payoff. It’s a huge waste. I’m not a fan of that one bit! I’d rather developers just break off all that stuff if it just continuously goes nowhere endlessly.
I prefer the way Capcom handles their relationships/marriages in Street Fighter (of the Playable x NPC variety so far)! Ken x Eliza, Dhalsim x Sally, Guile x Jane (I like the US name better), Rufus x Candy, Guy x Rena (I REALLY wish to know what’s been going on with this, and if Maki makes it into SFV to mention her sister at least once), Necro x Effie, Hakan x His Wife. To me, it’s like: BAM, BAM, BAM, BAM, BAM, BAM, BAM! It happens. They don’t mess around, they just do it! I find that refreshing! You know, actually I would want the T.Hawk x Juli(a) relationship to be portrayed as a NPC x Playable type. It’s there and it gets referenced every once in a while but it’s not a SUPER big deal. It’s just a normal, regular thing. It wouldn’t overpower both characters, they’d still be doing their own individual stuff. I just want it to still be around in some shape or form at the very least (even if it does get de-emphasized later on)!

ギル の 組織 にて 、 生体兵器 の プロトタイプ として 改造 さ れ た 男。同じ境遇 だっ た 恋人 エフィ ー とともに 組織 から の 逃避行 を つづけ て いるが , 自分 の 改良 タイプ として 量産 さ れ た 生物兵器 の 1 体•トゥエルヴ が 刺客 として 迫る 。 エンデ ィング で は シベリア 鉄道 の 上 で 追っ手 たち と 攻防。谷底 へ 落下 し かけ た エフィー を 愛 の ゴム 手 パワー で 救出 し 、 ラブラブ モード も 全開 に 。
Dhalsim SF2/ SSF2X/ SFZ2/ SFZ3
インド 代表 の ストリート ファイター。見た目 は 不気味 な ヨガ 男。自身 は ヨガ の 奥義 を きわめ た ため 食事 の 摂取量 を 抑え られる が 、 生まれ た ば かり の 子ども は そう も いか ない ので 、 子ども の 食費 を かせぐ ため に ストリート ファイト に 参加 し た。闘い を つづけ ながら も 、 「 人 を 傷つけ て はい け ない 」 という 倫理観 に さいなま れ、 つねに 苦悩 し て いる。 手足 の 長 さ を 自在 に 変え たり 、 炎 を 口 から 吹き出し たり できる の も 、 すべて ヨガ 訓練 の たまもの と か。 最後 は 十分 な 金 を かせい で 故郷 に 帰還。 3 年後、無事 に 成長 し た 息子 と 食卓 を 囲み、 かつて 闘っ た 日々 について 話 し て聞かせる。 息子 の 前 で は つい 相好 を くずし て しまう の か、 この とき の顔はミョー にコミカル。
エンディング の 絵 が 描き かえら れ 、 コミカル な 雰囲気 が やや 抑え られ た。
ヨガ を きわめ た インド の 修行僧。流行病 に 襲わ れ た 村人 たち の 治療費 を かせぐ ため 、 不本意 ながら も ストリートファイタ に なっ た 。 他者 を 必要以上 に 傷 つけ ない よう 、 火 の 神 アグニ の 力 を 借り た いつ わり の 炎 を 用い て 闘う 。 最終 ボス は、 ヨガ の 神 髄 で ある 慈悲 の 心 と は かけ離れ た 心 で 行動 する こベガ 。エンディング で は 故郷 に 帰り 、 結局自分 も 力 に 頼っ て しまっ た と 後悔 する が、 村人 たち の 感謝 の 言葉 や 妻 の 笑顔 に 救わ れる。
村人 を 救う だけ の 金 を ストリートファイト で かせぎ, 当初 の 目的 は 果たして村 に 帰還。 だが、 世界 に 負 の 波動 が 広がる の を 見過ごせず, 元凶 を 絶つ ため 闘い に 出向く 。 ヨガ パワー が、 以前 より 増し て いる の か 、 他人 の 心 を 読む能力 を 用い、 最後 は 「 ヨガー」 の かけ声 と と もに サイコ パワー の 暴走 まで 阻止 し て しまう。
Slight update on the video Pilot. All audio and resources are done, just have to put things together and animate. Unfortunately, won’t be done tonight, so hopefully I can churn it out after work tomorrow.

Apparently it’s an 8 chapter book with each covering certain characters like Ryu, Chun, and Sagat. There’s awesome artwork and apparently the highlight story is of a fight between Sagat and M.Bison! Maybe sometime later when I have the time I’ll translate the small preview for fun see how the fight between Akuma and Ryu starts off.
There are jackets specifically designed not to close in the front. If you wanted his jacket to close in the front then his arm holes would have to face forward because the shoulder width on the back DOES fit. The issue is the distance from his arm hole to the buttons is not DESIGNED to reach the center of his chest. If he bought a larger jacket (likely impossible given his measurements) the shoulders would not fit properly, like the do now.

It turns out that the pictures I’ve been linking weren’t in a book, I misunderstood. It IS in the Capcom Collections game for PS2. Unfortunately the resolution is the same so even zoomed in in the game it looks like crap. Here it is taken directly from the game’s zooming in function, even with emulator running 6x resolution the quality of the text doesn’t change (obviously).

Doesn’t seem like something he’d do but GL finding clothes for a guy 7’1" with measurements bigger than the biggest body builders w/o having them custom made though. Shoes alone for a guy his size have to be special ordered, just ask Shaq.

Birdie is actually pretty vain. In his prologue, he quits Shadowloo over being asked to wear a hat. He still has that goofy hair-combing animation too. He seems like the kind of guy who would hit up a tailor after getting a paycheck so he completes his “style”.
Yes, a guy his size would need a tailor to get clothes that fit.
Which is, again, why his clothes don’t fit.
But…he dresses like a punk. Is there even such a thing as a “punk tailor”?

Which again, his shoes do and his pants are LONG enough. You can’t buy pants for someone 7’1" ANYWHERE that isn’t custom made or specialty ordered. Go to macy and find me some pants that have a 55inch inseam, even Big and Tall online stops at 36 and I’d even give him having a 50 inch inseam (which is tiny for 7’1") he ain’t wearing 36inch capries in the game. You can’t find boots for someone with a size 22 foot (or more given SF proportions on feet and hands…). He is probably wearing his old pants which got too small in the thighs, because he can’t get clothes anywhere so he just stuck with pants he know had the proper length, because they were his old clothes. Tight pants were already common with punk bands fashion so gaining even a little weight would make em bulge. Look at how he tucks belly over the front because they are actually too small /in the waist only/ that is because he USED to have a 40inch waistline. He can’t afford to get another pair of clothes on what Shadaloo is paying him, he probably has 3 pair of pants and they all are the same ones he had before joined shadaloo.
As for tailors? Well for black jeans, of course. For leather jackets, or any sort of leather wear (gloves/arm bands/pants/ect) yes as well. I dunno HOW custom some places do the jackets, so if you wanna put the metal on them you might have to get the tool for that or have another person do it, usually though I’ve heard that they will . You could special order a tailored shirt, even a tshirt, and have a logo on it, such as a band name or anarchy symbol or whatever. Likely you’d have to go to two different tailors for the jacket vs rest of the clothes given how different leather work is, I dunno. I don’t think there are any “punk specific” tailors, outside of Etsy which I bet has one, but I wouldn’t be surprised.
I think I’ll stop with this on Birdie’s fashion now, was fun, time to quit before it’s not.

とんでも ない 早朝 から の 猛 げいこ で 近隣 の 住民 たち を 迷惑 さ せ て い た、 という 設定 が 新た に 追加 さ れ た。 本田 が 世界巡業 の 旅 に 出かける と いう 話 を 聞い た 住民 は 「 やっと 安眠 できる 」 と ー様 に 安堵 し た という 。 もっとも、 弟子 たち を 叱咤激励 する こと は 忘れ て おら ず、 毎朝国際電話 を かけ て は その 声 を 町内中 に スピーカー で 流さ せ た ため 、 騒音 に 変わり は なかっ た よう だ。
ソドム の エンディング に 登場 。 新生 マッドギア の メンバー に ふ さわし い 強者 を 捜す べく 国技館 を 訪れ た ソドム の 目 に とまり 、 試合 を 受け て 立つ。土俵上 で も クマ 取り は 取ら ない よう だ が 、 相撲協会 は 何 も 言わ ない の だろ う か …。
『 スト Ⅱ 』 シリーズ と は コスチューム が 変わり 、 風呂上がり の よう に 浴衣 を まく り 上げ た 姿 に なっ た 。 力 の 行き場 を 世界 に 求め て 旅 を つづけ、 最後 は 「 ワルモノ 」 と 感じる ベガ と 対決 。 ベガ の サイコ クラッシャー を スーパー 頭突き で 撃沈 する。 ブランカ の こと は 「 面倒 みれ ん 」 と 言っ て 放り出す が 、 ユーニ と ユーリ は 「 困 っ た とき は お互い さま 」 と いっ て 拾い上げる あた り 、 結構 いい 性格 を し て いる。 ザンギエフ と は 怪力同士 で 気 が 合う よう だ 。

鎧 カブト に G パン という 出で立ち を し、 怪し い 日本語 を 口にする、 奇妙 キテレツ な 男 。 大 の 日本好き と 自負 し て いる ものの 、 日本 に対して 少なから ぬ 偏見 を 持つ ( と いう より 偏見 の かた まり )。 もと は 『 ファイナル ファイト 』 で 2 面 の ボ ス として 登場 。 マッドギア の 幹部 で あり ながら 地下 プロレス の プロモーター を つとめ 、 みずか ら 出場 し て は 無敗 を 誇っ て い た 妖刀 ムラマサを 手 に し て 闘う姿 は 「 ショウグン 」 と 恐れ られ て い た という 。 『ファイナル ファイト 』 の 舞台 と なる ジェシカ 誘拐事件 の さい 、 マッドギア に 乗り こ ん でき た 日本人•ガイ に 「 日本 を カン ちがい し て いる 」 と 言わ れ た の が ショック で 日本 へ。 ジャパ ニーズ マーシャル アーツ を 会得 し 、 新た な 武器•ジッテ ( 十手 ) を 手 に 入れ て 自信 を つけ た の ち ガイ に 再戦 を 挑む 。 『ファイナル ファイト 』 時 より も イロモノ 度 は アップ。 せっかく 日本 に 渡 っ た のに、 日本 に対する 誤解 を ますます 深め て いっ た よう だ 。 ガイ へ の 雪辱 を 果たし た のち は、 念願 だっ た マッドギア の 再生 に 着手 する 。
マッドギア 再興 の ため に 強者 を 求め て 各地 を まわる、 日本大好き男。 TV ドラマ 「将軍 」 を 見 て 以来 、 日本 の トリコ に なっ た。 仏滅 、 大凶 など の 「 アン ラッキー •ワード 」 を 口 に する こと で 相手 に 精神的 ダメージ を 与え られる カン ちがい し、 積極的 に 技名 に 取り入れ て いる とか 。 なお、ソド ム ステージ で ある アリゾナ 砂漠 に 停車中 の 巨大 な コンボイ は 彼 の 愛車 で、 ソドム 特有 の 「 ジャパニズム 」 に 彩ら れ て いる。 最後 は 宿敵•ガイ を 新生 マッドギア の メンバー に 入れる ため 実力行使。 これ に 勝利を収める と 、 強い同志 を 求め て 今度 は 国技館 を 訪れ 、 エドモンド 本田 に 勝負 を 申し こむ。 土俵 に 上がる とき は しっかり まわし 姿 に 。
ソドム ステージ に ある 彼 の 愛車 の デザイン が 変わり、 『 スト ZERO2』 に は レア だっ た USA 版 の もの が 基本 と なっ た。
ジャパニズム を 探求 し、 ワビサビ•マインド を 追及 し て 世界 を さまよう 男。 マッドギア の 同僚 ロレント から シャドルー 基地 の 話 を 耳 に し、 新生 で ソドギア の 基地 に しよ う と 考え出発。最後 は 、 何度攻撃 し て も 復活 する ベガ に トドメ を 刺す ため、『スト ZERO2 』 で おなじみ の 愛車 に 乗っ て 捨て身 の 攻撃。真 の サムライ として 散る— と、 いま まで の キワモノ ぶり を 一掃 する カッコ 良 さ を 見せる。 ちなみに X - ISM の ソドム は、『フ アイ ナル ファイト』 と 同様、日本刀 を 所持 する。
