I always thought a lot of fan inspired Ryu redesigns with him older and under the assumption he had some training or mentorship from Oro look bad ass. I really wish Capcom would go out on a limb and make their main costumes different. I mean look at all the positive feedback from the battle costumes for Hot Ryu, Chun and Cammy. Sigh…I reallllllyyyy was hoping SF5 would take place after SF3 so I could see how things developed. Here’s hoping SF6 is a reality

悪 を 憎み正義 を 愛する メトロ シティ 市長、 本作 で の 表 記は 「 マイク マッ チョー ハガー」。 かつて は プロレス 技 を 得意 と する ストリート ファイター だ っ た。 人望 が あっ た ため、 先ごろ市長 に 就任 し た ものの 、 格闘家 の 血 が さわい で CWA に 参戦 し て いる もと は 「 ファイナル ファ イト 」 の 操作 キャラクター の ひとり で 、 同作品中 で は マッドギア に 誘拐 さ れ た 娘 の ジェシカ を 取り もどす ため に 闘っ て い た 。 『 スーパー マッスル ボマー 』の 話 は 、 時間的 に 『 ファイナル ファイト 』 より 前 の 出来事。

ロレント エンディング に 登場。平和 に なっ た メトロ シティ を 制圧 せんと 装甲車 で 走り まわる ロレント に 愕然 と する 。 また ガイ ステージ で ある メトロ シティに も 登場 し 、 コーディー や 元 マッドギア の 連中 とともに 試合 を 観戦 し て いる 。

1 年前 にマッドギアをツプしたものの 、 半年 ほど 前 から シャ ドルー に 議会 を 牛耳ら れ 、 メトロシティが ふたたび 危険 な街になってしまった 。 いま は その 対応 に 追わ れ 、 かつて 開い て い た ジ ム も 閉鎖。娘 の 恋人 だっ た コーティー が すっか りぐれ て しまっ た の も 悩み のタネらしい。 メトロ シティ 市長 として の 任期 は あと 2 年 。 ゲーム 中 で は 、 ガイ ステージ で ある メトロ シティ 22 番街高架下 に 登場 し 、 元 マッドギア の メンバー , アクセ ル とともに 試合 を 観戦 し て いる。

ヒューゴ の チーム とタッグ マッチ を 行なう相手 チーム の メンバー として ヒューゴー の エンディ ング に 名前 のみ 登場 。 B ウィドー と 組ん で いる。

モヒカン 頭 と 胸毛 が まぶしい 赤 パン 男。「赤きサイクロン 」 と 呼ば れ 、 自身 も 好ん で そう 名乗る 。 ロシア レスリング と アメリカン プロレス を ミック ス し た 独自 の スタイル により 、 ロシア の 闇 プロレ ス 界 で 無敗 を 誇っ て い た が、 あまりに 強 すぎ た ため プロレス 界 から 追放同然 の 憂き目 に。 仕方 なく 山ごもり を し て い た さい 、 とある 人物 に 強 さ を 認め られ 、 その 人 の 望み を かなえる ため 世界 の 強豪 たち に 挑む 。 得意技 は 、 クマ を 相手 に 特訓 を 重ね て 鍛え上げ た 「 スクリュー パイル ドライ バー 」 。 飛び道具 が 使え ず スピード も 遅い 、 リー チ も ふつう と 欠点 は 多い が 、 ひとたび スクリュ ー を キメれ ば 逆転 も 夢 で は ない 、 という スリリソ グ さ が 一部 の 人々 を 魅了 し た。 エンディング で は、 とある 人物母国 の 大統領 に ペレストロイカ へ の 貢献 を 認め られ 、 ふたり ( + KGB ) で 仲良く コサック ダンス を 踊る 。

飛び道具 の 使い手 が 増え た ため、 「 嫌い な もの 」 が 数え切れ なく なっ て しまっ た 様子。自分 の よう な 筋肉美 こそ 真 の 美 と 考え。

祖国 ロシア と ウォッカ を こよ なく 愛する怪力 プロレスラー。 最終 ボス は 全米一 の 格闘家 •ケン で 、 アメリカ VS. ロシア の 古き構図 を 体現 する 。 エンディン グ で は ストリート ファイト に 全力 で 取り組む姿 を 姿 を ロシア の 偉い人 に 認め られ 、 ロシア の 強 さ を 全世界 に 示す こと を 約束。 より たくましい 身体 を 作る ため 、 偉い人 の 支援 を 受け トレーニング に 励む こと に なる が 、 資金不足 が たたり、結局 は 山小屋 で クマ を 相手 に する こと に …。

ロシア の 英雄。祖国 の 偉大 なる 指導者 の 依頼 を 受け、 ロシア の 脅威 •シャドルー を 退治 する た め 出発する。最後 は 、 同じ目的 で シャドルー 基地 に 潜入 し て い た E. 本田 と 意気投合 し 、 協力 し て サイコ ドライブ を 破壊。依頼 を 果たし た うえ E. 本田 という 「 新た な 同志 」 を 得 て 満足 する。 本作 で 登場 し た 新 キャラクター、 R. ミカに慕われ、 彼女 の ストーリー で は 心 の 師弟関係 を 築く。

Poor Haggar. He destroys Mad Gear only to have Shadowloo bribe the city Congress to their will. Looks like he’ll have to run for president if he wants to make a real difference.

I wasn’t aware Shadaloo had been involved with anything in Metro City til I translated that entry. It’s interesting that you never see Haggar going after Shadaloo even though he and his precious city were under M.Bison’s heel the whole time under his watch, and on top of that he had to close his gym because of it. It’s all the more reason to have Haggar in a Street Fighter game, you already have a coherent story of some tragedy that somehow links to Shadaloo.

KoF don’t age their characters. 14 games in and Athena is still a high school student. Not going to expect for Kim’s sons to be playable in a KoF game when they’re still kids in that timeline.

Internet is right, book is wrong. This is taken directly from the arcade build of the game and, before you ask, I have checked and the names are consistent across both the Japan and World builds of the arcade game.

BTW I spotted this just now while looking at fighting street, I think they are new to the site. The words are small so might be hard to read but there is definitely story stuff there (says so right at the top)
