It’s confusing because they mention him being apart of Shadaloo during Sagat’s ending in SFZ2, but according to this passage he wasn’t during Z3
Imo it sounds like he’s either; been retconned to be newly recruited into Shadaloo, had been doing work not exclusive to Shadaloo and therefore only a temporary member, or maybe they’re all just freelance bodyguards until SF2 when they become “The 4 Heavenly Kings” officially for the tournament. EX2 Claw’s bio also raised a question as to whether or not he was employed with Shadaloo during a period of not having Dictator around, until he was a member again once Dictator was later added. So far the only loyal member to the group is Boxer, and that’s only because he’s broke and needs money desperately, the others seem to come and go as they please (Claw more reliably than Sagat I’m assuming).

The “Dark Lord” isn’t implying anything about his demeanor, it’s a title that’s a direct reference to the character Sagat is modeled after; Reiba: The Dark Lord of Muai Thai, albeit the stylized comic version.
Street Fighter is basically a modern tale telling of karateka Mas Oyama legendary victory over Muai Thai warrior Black Cobra. It also tells of Yoshiiji Soeno wins over Reiba’s students, and eventually the dream match with Reiba himself which never happened because of Reiba’s murder.

I can help with the Russian translation, but maybe only in the text form, I don’t really even know how to add subtitles to the videos or anything. But I’d be willing to spread the info in the Russian community, as there’s some sort of interest in the lore of the series as well. It’d help to have the videos in multiple languages, at least subbed, to help Non-English speakers out there get into the whole SF story stuff as well

前作 の 1 年後 。 全米 バトルト ーナメント を ひかえ た ケン は 、 骨 の ある 相手 と 長らく闘っ て い ない こと に 退屈 し て い た 。 そんな ある日 、 「 謎 の 組織 」 の ウワサ を 聞きつけ 、 危険 の 香り に 奮起 する。 最後 は 全米 バトル トーナメント 史上初 の 3 連覇 という 快挙 を 達成 。 予選 に 落ち た 弟子 の シ ヨーン を からかう。

Regarding Hokuto No Ken…
Everything about Matoki & Mu is directly translated into SnH and Mu for SF from Hokuto.

Anyway, this is the Thousand Demon Sound Fist
It’s a thousand strikes (all lethal) in the span of a single moment and it’s used by Hyo in Hokuto No Ken. Hyo is a Matoki user. He uses the evil form of Kenshiro’s style and is also Ken’s brother. He’s…basically the evil Ryu of the series (including having an Akuma-like master in the form of Kaioh). The parallels between this attack and the SGS (otherwise known as the Hundred Demon Attack) should be obvious. An obscure bit of connection is that the technique of Manju Maon Ken “rings” as the evil Matoki chi infuses the user and area…and the early descriptions of the SGS include it being described as causing Akuma’s cells to “resonate” with SNH and “ring”.

@Fatal1ty_93_RUS totally agree, I’d love to team up with all of those guys to keep it structured and easy to access for new and old fans alike. Like I said, I can handle the video stuff (sfx, subtitles, voice over), but I’d love for some help in setting up what’s gonna be tackled first, what order and things like that. I’d absolutely be down for you helping with Russian translations, then we could have multiple versions and send them out and after some structure maybe ask for SRK to get the word out on a front page post.
I think it’s very well within the realm of possibility that this can get started, it’s just that with all the new info out, it’d definitely need some structure.

Hey only became full time to get the Shadoloo dental plan.
So going over these character backgrounds made me come to another theory I wanted to share with you guys.
Back in Nash’s story for SFZ3 it mentioned that he took over a weapons munition and shortly after formed a band of mercenaries. It’s been pretty much established that this militia is the same one that Abel was integrated into shortly after his rescue. The thing I was pondering over was; who did he capture the weapon’s depot from? Then I remembered that he had a rival interaction with Rolento in Zero 2, who had a stage which was an undergrounds weapons munitions in Zero 3. Considering that some Zero 3 events have been absorbed into main canon I was thinking it would be a pretty neat connection if the weapons depot Nash captured originally belonging to Rolento. Doing this has given me tons of insight on the series into stuff I thought were just menial occurrences. I had always wondered why Ryu and Ken shared a stage in SF3NG, now that I know it happens to be another one of Ken’s vacation resorts it makes a lot of sense. I’d figure I’d take a break from the characters and post the miscellaneous stuff.

シャドルー の 強化兵士 の なか でも 選び抜か れ た 者 たち から 成る 、 ベガ の 親衛隊。薬物 による 洗脳•強化 と きびしい 訓練 を 受け て おり 、 機械的 に ベガ に し た が う。 隊員 が 10 ~ 20 代 の 女性 ば かり で 、 しかも 身体 に フィット し た レオター ド の 衣装 を 制服 として 着せ られ て いる の は、 ベガ の 趣味 だろ う か …… 。 世界各地 から 集め られ た 計 12 名 の 隊員 ( エネーロ 、 フェヴリエ 、 メルヅア ブリーレ 、 サツキ 、 ユーニ 、 ユーリ 、 サンタム 、 ジ ウユー 、 ヤンユー 、 ノウェンベル 、 ディカ - プリ ) が おり 、 それぞれ の 名前 は 1 月 から 12 月 の 各月 に 由来 し て いる 。 ただし , ゲーム 中 に 姿 を 見せ るのは 10 名 まで。
ベガ 親衛隊 の ひとり で ラテン 系 の 女性 。 そ の 名前 は 「 11 月 」 を 意味 する ラテン 語 に 由来 。
I would offer a chronological order to start with main characters like Ryu, Ken, Chun etc, then move onto the Villains (Bison, Vega…), and then cover the rest of the roster sorting them by the amount of appearances in the series itself

I’m so glad that entry was on the Dolls. I always wanted to read more about them, but had no idea how to look for it in the encyclopedia. I figured looking for anything pertaining to Alpha 3 would have their bio. I’m going to start looking for more miscellaneous stuff. Hopefully I’ll come across the entry describing the Raging Demon if it’s there.

Agree, also the whole reason because Ken (Ryu) will be the chosen one to defeat Kaioh (Akuma) and not Hyo (Evil Ryu), it kinda feel like how in SF Ryu will not use SnH to win the final battle, but he will gain the power needed walking the “good” martial arts path
