Yeah that’s the endnig for Urien in 2nd Impact. He gets promoted to Pres instead of Gill and finds out that Gill is ALSO the Emperor which outranks him.
Gill is totally signing his own death warrant though. When you have a dog as mad as Urien you either leash it HARD or put it down…Gill does neither and that is going to bite him in the ass so hard.
From what I’ve been translating a lot of these bios seem to be very accurate. Ryu is 23 when he leaves his master to beat Sagat (1987-1964= 23), and we’ve just learned that SF1 is actually a tournament, which probably had spectators like Sakura to watch.
M. Bison is being described as using a new body which can now handle the full output of Psycho Power. This body is the same body which we now see in SFV that is now used to handling the maximum level. Rose is described as being literal soul mates of Bison, and that he once inhabited her body which also correlates with AAC so far.
I’d like to see a Urien - Kolin - Gill love triangle where Kolin betrays Gill and sees Urien as the stronger of the two which puts Urien as the leader of the Illuminati
I do wonder how much of the soul stuff between Bison & Rose might be related to the whole “born under a star” nature of Bison, etc. We know Soul power is VERY rare (use the Force, Luke!)
THANK YOU! I’ve been so curious about her for years – what’s her personality like? What are her likes and dislikes? Is she really romantically involved with Gill or is it implied? Etc like that.
I’ve wondered about the training manual myself. It’s a resource book made exclusivity for journalists and not commercially available. It also contradict other SFIV sources (the manual states that Akuma was the one killed Bison). It does come straight from Capcom so we can accept the info as canon.
I’m not so sure. Not everything that comes from Capcom is automatically canon. Otherwise, the American Super Nintendo manuals would be as well, wouldn’t they?
I hope someone is posting all these translations that Bakromon is doing to, like, the Street Fighter wiki or something. I’d hate to think all of this work could get lost, or simply sit someplace where it’s difficult to find later.
Granted. But the point of a wiki is, at least in theory, to be a place for that kind of information. I think it’s worth it to at least TRY.
Any official sources that get added to that place’s character pages can only be an improvement.
I think I mentioned this back when the plot guide was falling apart last time and people were talking about restarting it, but I really do think that a wiki is the best FORMAT to present that kind of information. The problem is of course the “anyone can edit it” part.
Is there no way for, say, SRK, to create a wiki that only approved people are allowed to edit?
According with Complete File, Eagle Head was meant to be Vega’s name during SF2 development.
Nice theory. But it simply doesn’t work because of the actual game text. I’ll post the japanese text later.
Dialogue after the 9th fight (with Balrog):
Balrog: Actually, Vega is willing to fight with you.
Balrog: I do not try to understand what that monster thinks …
Balrog: Are you saying that you’re going there to be killed/slaughtered?
Rose: …by “looking” into your mind, I could already grasp more or less where Vega is/Vega’s whereabout.
Rose: This was the destiny determined by the heavens… What was divided shall become one again.
Rose: After that, it is impossible for me and for him to imagine the future…
10th fight: Juni & Juli (But dialogue is with Vega)
Dialogue before the fight:
Vega: Wow! You arrived early!
Vega: What irony! Just today, I have another appointment. Let’s leave this for another day.
Rose Vega! It’s useless trying to avoid this.
You know that …
Rose: This outcome was determined from the time of the meeting/encounter.
Vega: Ha ha ha! You say very sad things, no?
Vega: Well, for you to calm down, why don’t you play around with these here?
Vega: But I can’t guarantee your life…
Final Fight: Vega
Rose: Do you really think you could fool me with that?
Rose: Neither you nor I have where to run …
Vega: You mean you’re ready to fight to the death? Admirable preparation! Vega: As before, submission seems to be what suits you best.
Rose: At that moment, that was the trigger of this tragedy …
Rose: Let’s decide this, Vega !!
Ending
Vega: Uaaaaaa !!!
Rose: It’s/This is the end, Vega !!
Rose: I didn’t want to take you down this way/like this…
Rose: The master from the past … Now … must be killed with these hands …
Vega: Formidable decision… Certainly, there’s no other way but to act like this. Vega: However … This is not the “end” desired by my “soul”.
Vega: Bah !!
Rose: Uaaaa !!
Vega: Wish to know… what your future is…!
Vega: Can you see it?
Vega: Using the force/power whose wielding was granted only to us, Vega: Your image fluttering in the darkness of life …
Rose: … !! … What is?!..
If so … you … no … I-I myself … Vega: Yes… We will return … Just like you … and I had desired …!
Vega: Although/despite different lives … the soul …
Vega: Uaaaaaaa … !!
Guy: Wow … I had a bad feeling. So I ran after …
Guy: I did well in coming here.
Guy: … by the look of it, she is safe.
Guy: But if we don’t take care of it soon …
Guy: Um …! Am I imagining things …?
Guy: That man is also on the ground. At last, the creature that disrupts the rules of this world is gone…
Guy: But … what’s that? This fear …
Note: The translator mentioned that this sentence actually describes a scene. Imagine something being teared in the middle and spreading outwards, just like Leonardo does with his katana when he slashes the screen in the first TMNT 1987 opening.
That’s it.
Rose knew that something was separated, divided, but didn’t know what it was. Probably she thought it was their fate when they where separate ways years ago. If that’s the case, Vega was once someone “kinda” good because of the words of wisdom he says to her on her AASFZ1 account. Nevertheless, it’s Rose’s part of “the soul” who wants to rejoin with the other half (Just like you… and I had desired…). That’s why she goes after Vega and wants to stop him at the cost of her life. She knows that probably she won’t get out of such fight alive… Rose mentions an encounter… probably it’s their fight in Z1/Z2 where after sending Vega several warnings, she decides to stop him by herself. At that time, she sealed his Psycho Power, but that proved to be useless, so the only way was to destroy him for good. Vega, without a choice, rejoins with Rose’s soul, taking over her body. “The soul” becomes one again… That’s why the overseas versions translated that part as “Two separate lives… share the same… soul…”
