Heh. I had long ago guestimated Alex’s height/weight to be 199 cm (6’6") and around 134 kg (295 lbs). I got his height close (195 cm/6’5"), but he’s a lot lighter (111 kg/245 lbs) than I would have suspected for his massive frame. Can’t wait for Urien who, being a headswap of Gill, looks like he should be about 6’11" but I’m guessing he’ll be a lot shorter. I have him pegged at 198 cm/6’6" myself, though I could see him going to 203 cm/6’8".
Fun fact: 111 kg/245 lbs is Birdie’s official weight in Alpha series. One of the things I’m glad that SFV finally gets right is the character weights, which were hilariously wrong before (Blanka’s official weight being 98 kg/216 lbs, wut).

Well it’s nice to finally get scans and translations of stuff directly, but pretty much all this information has been available for years. I mean, the profile section in the back is where we finally got proof that Poison is male once and for all!
Though I have to admit: I don’t recall Lee ever being described as a “cook” before. Not sure if I’ve ever seen the name of the hotel in Yun/Yang’s SF3 stages either, though I could easily have glossed over that in the old plot guide.
Also, I would need to check my copy, but the only part of AAC I can recall them using the term "Bison’ under a profile for Dictator was under the Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game section.

Hey step aside Daemos, I’m the OG-Bison fan here! I’ve been playing since 1992, the very first day I encountered a Champion Edition machine (played Dhalsim before that in WW), and I main him in Hyper Fighting, where he’s hands down the worst character! Beat that for dedication!

Speaking of height/weight, the US has always been inconsistent when it comes to character height/weight values, while the JPN are usually consistent. Chun-li’s height has always been listed at 169 cm (5’ 6.5", actually). I usually do the conversion from the JPN cm myself and list both values for maximum precision and accuracy.

It’s cool because of small nuances like knowing that Lee is a cook, or that Gen has had quick chops from the first game which is something I thought they got from E Honda. Gen didn’t have the multiple hitting chops like he later receives, but his are ridiculously quick for the first game, which is what they intended.
I know a lot of this info has been known about for decades, but it is nice to go over some of the info in case details like the first Street Fighter tournament get lost.

I’ll retract this statement because Chun actually seems to be more around the accurate 5’7" in SFV than when she’s depicted in SF2 where she seem’s closer to Cammy’s height (5’5" and 5’4" respectively).
Yes, I think they got a bit carried away trying to make her stand out from the average height in that SF2 group pic.
SF2 ingame sprites also show her taller than that; she was around Ryu’s height there.

As a funny note, Chun Li’s legs are quite longer than Ryu’s in modern 3D models, but he gets it back with the bigger torso. That’s why Chun Li sometimes looks gigantic when she spreads her legs, like in that one victory pose where she kicks the air; her legspan is ridiculous.

I know in the Udon continuity there’s a flashback of him returning to eliminate the master. She was the last one with the ability to use Soul Power, and he wasn’t taking any chances. Even though the master was wiped out, Rose was only knocked unconscious. The master’s power was transferred to her in the process of the attack.
So Bison’s master was a she eh? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, that kinda worries me a little.
In the Udon continuity, yeah. I don’t believe the gender was ever mentioned anywhere else.
We’ll get to Rose’s profile soon, so maybe we’ll find more definitive answers there.
