Fang is not like Sodom in SFA where he is completely unskilled in writing characters and botches his 死 (death) to mean nothing. In Chinese and Japanese some characters are actually a combination of two characters. In cases like 街 (town); which is 圭 inside 行, this actually constitutes a true symbol that people understand. This can also be used to make characters that are fake and have no meaning. Fang uses this rule and applies it to his character to make a customized number that represents him.
Another example of this occurring is in Oni’s SGS symbol which combines 鬼神 (Kishin - Ogre God) into one consolidated character.
Yeah, I’ve pretty much accepted at this point that all of the SF comics are non-canon. Although it is nice to see how the story would play out alternatively.
Well the movie is strange already… It needs Ryu AND Ken to fight against Nash?
But back to V… Today I went back to IV and damn… I’m missing Adon so much. Him or a new Muay Thai fighter would be nice… Like a new student of Sagat or something but not with a Shoto style but more like Adon
I was even featured as one of their sources for a recent article of theirs. Not saying I’m not trustworthy though, it just shows that they can find anything and say it’s a source, bu without the proper statement than who’s to say if its accurate.
Ever here of a Dramatic Battle??? This is just a taste of whats to come in World Warrior when Ryu and Ken are tag teaming M. Bison SF2:AM style, but in a live action series!
So, the director of SF:Resurrection confirmed that the film takes place 10 years after *Assassin’s Fist *
To clarify SFR does take place in the same cinematic universe as SFAF just over a decade down the timeline. Events of SFAF, SFWW etc will be referenced to some degree. It is still very much the intention for SFWW to happen. We will release an exclusive video to this page soon where Joey will explain in greater detail his continued plans for the SF cinematic universe.
What I’m taking from this is that SFR is a SFV story set into the context on what SFAF was based upon, and what SFWW has yet to become. I want to know how much they’re actually going to be taking from the story of SFV? Will Kolin actually be apart of SFV, does Laura have a more prominent role to play than, or are all of these just liberties taken upon themselves ?
[details=Spoiler]it’s an interesting observation. What use would the tanden engine have for FANG/Shadaloo? How would that relate to the story?
I predict Juri’s interest in Cammy and the dolls are different from FANG’s plan for them (and operations CHAINS)[/details]
The initial release (SF1) -> a sequel (SF2) -> a prequel to the initial release (Alpha) -> a sequel to the sequel (SF3) -> a prequel to the sequel of the initial release (SF4) -> a prequel to the sequel of the sequel (SF5)
There was something I’ve always been confused about with SF4. Does Super overwrite Vanilla or does it continue from it? I feel there’s a disconnect between games for a few character stories.
The SSF4 prologues are sequels to the SF4 prologues, and the SSF4 epilogues are sequels to the SF4 epilogues. The Juri OVA is a sequel to the TTTB and a prequel to SF4’s tournament event.
So much this. Watched it when it was available on Youtube, but then once they released it on Blu-ray, they removed it. So I bought the Blu-ray for those who never got a chance to see it yet. When I was initially informed about it, it just sounded like it was going to be Street Fighter (the movie) shit all over again, but it’s nothing like that. As much as I enjoyed the original MK movie too (it was pretty terrible though), this was even better.
