The Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread: ARCADE EDITION!

I think the more likely thing is that, given that Seth’s moveset comes from analyzing the fighting styles of other characters, that Shadaloo has simply encountered Seth or Urien before.

After all, just because characters in general doesn’t know about the Illuminatie before SF3, doesn’t mean NOBODY knows about them, or has EVER encountered them before.

It’s entirely possible someone at Shadaloo had a confrontation with Urien or Gill, and they simply fed the recording into the Cyborg program’s data.

Yeah, I really like that they have normal proportions and don’t look all roided out, but they also look a little TOO realistic, and I don’t really like that either.

That stage is definitely used in FANG’s character art. You can tell by the swirling golden dragon on the pillar closest to the right of Fang in the artwork. This makes me wonder if it will actually be used in the game or if it was cut? Although Fang’s version looks more polished overall.

I wonder what would happen if urien meet one of the clones if there still enabled by shadaloo in sf5 timeline… or have a fight with twelve…

That stage is Fei Long as FUCK.

Fei Long was working on his latest movie, “Fangs of the Snake Mafia”, when his funding was cut and lead editor killed by poison. Realizing that this was again probably hitting too close to a real criminal organization, he finally gives up and makes a sitcom about two brothers who run a noodle restaurant.

Yeah I recognized it as FANG’s stage. Mika’s stage in her concept art appears in the cinematic trailer, so there is hope that this stage also made it into the game as part of the cinematic story. It’s a beautiful stage, so I doubt they would just throw it away like that. It’s like throwing away money. Same for those costumes. I like that they are all somewhat in character, so hope they all make it into the game eventually.

Hmm, perhaps Stage DLC in the same vein as Character DLC?

Yeah, I figured as much. I had a theory on Capcom updating/introducing new Cinematic Stories over time, as we get new characters, to maybe move the overall plot of Street Fighter V forward. It would go against Capcom’s plan to develop SFV as a service if the story itself stays the same after the June expansion and the DLC characters only get short end of the stick in form of the character prologues that you can finish in like 10 minutes

Annually introducing new story modes would be a bit of an overkill, although there MIGHT be a chance, since Capcom doesn’t necessarily need to develop the game itself along with the storymode unlike what they’ve been doing with SF5 up until now, the team will probably be mostly occupied with new characters, maybe some new modes etc, so who knows.

It would be cool, but having basically only 6 new characters (and in Jun’es expansion case maybe not even all the new characters will be there) would get kind of stale. I like the idea of “Cinematic Expansion every 2 years” as they would be able to include 10-12 new characters depending on their release schedule

Capcom, HIRE THIS FUCKING MAN! NOW!

That spoiler is basically the ending of Dragon Ball Z reused for Ryu

I would legit like to play that version of Street Fighter V. Maybe not as a full retail game, but just like a playable demo, you know, to see what kind of gameplay and general concepts that build had. It should also look much better on screen than on paper

Fei Long confirmed for Season 2? (Capcom pls)

“Sonic! He can really move. Sonic! He’s got an attitude. Sonic! HE’S THE FASTEST THING ALIVE!!!”

I could write a fan fiction in 4 weeks, that’s more engaging and less retarded than what we got for a story in SFV so far.

I hate posting from my cellphone…

2 weeks. I can write it in 2 weeks.

*Capcom gives you a 3 day deadline.

When I was a kid I wanted to see this fight, now it may be a possibility.

Tbh I’d rather have Bison for more years than Gill eventually being the boss. He looks so corny to me

At the rate we’re going, Karin will be the boss in SF6 and 7.

Releases sketches with a few lines of texts and promises something epic in 6 months

Gill and Bison are not enemies. Why do we need heroes if we are going to pit our villains against one another?

We’ve Bison for too many years already. Capcom needs to shit or get off the pot.

But they are. They both want to shape the world in their own wicked ways and thus they have conflicting interests.

No.

Bison wants to destroy the world, Gill wants to save the worthy from its inevitable destruction. Gill does not want to stop the apocalypse.

To prevent the possible destructon that can be caused by the two organizations. Bison owns the biggest criminal syndicate in the world, the Illuminati probably have near infinite influence and massive numbers + their members can have powers like what Urien and Gill possess.

Imagine if in Dragon Ball Z Cell and Broly would fight each other going out with all of their strength and how much wreckage they would cause

Or look at what in Tekken the Mishima Zaibatsu and the G Corporation have caused by going out in an armed conflict

We need the heroes to stop that, specifically by eliminating one and then the other
