Ed is one of the latest (and probably last) generation of the human incubator clones (a la Abel and his 27 brothers), created by SIN to be spare host bodies for Bison. All the human incubators are created from Bison’s genetic material (and possibly other high quality DNA) and enhanced through gene editing. They are more than just mere clones.
His mind is free because he did not go through the brainwashing stage that the dolls went through because he possibly will serve a different purpose. He’s still young, so there is plenty of time to suppress his free will.
Wow… I went through Rashid’s story twice and somehow missed this. Embarrasing.
It definitely weakens my argument, but the second part still stands, she didn’t necessarily had to get into trouble (“Things have gotten pretty messy”) right at the moment of SIN’s demise.
Viper says SIN researchers were kidnapped.
Rashid’s friend is a SIN researcher, and is also missing after something bad happened.
SIN collapsed at the end of SF4.
Ryu and Gouken are together after the collapse of SIN.
Rashid meets them approximately 2 weeks after the friend went missing.
It could mean a lot of things, but what it probably means is one thing and one thing only. This isn’t rocket science, Capcom put this stuff there because if they spell it any more they will patronize their audience.
Charlie is not a teleporter, he moves really fast and this is in line what what we know about him. The green thing is just that, the color of his ki/special effects. The way it has always been, there is no new power to be discussed at the moment. Go play Alpha and you will see that Charlie’s sonic maneuvers always had green special effects.
I also don’t know why you bring up Udon if you know it isn’t canon. The Udon timeline is diverged from the official timeline a long time ago, and what happens there does not necessarily mean anything in the official timeline. In fact, it usually doesn’t,
I have a question you guys might be able to answer.
Why does Birdie turn red when he does some of his special moves when he’s not eating the Pepper? Is it because he utilizes chi in some for or is it visually just to make him look like he’s in rage?
I assume Zangief turns red because he just flexes his muscles real hard and u can even see his veins popping up.
In some way it actually reminds me of Goku’s kaio-ken, Makoto turning red and even Heihachi (when pandora is activated, instead of turning into pandora mode, he relies on his own strength, turns red and just tosses his partner away in SFxT), so I was wondering if there’s more to it like the usage of chi.
Birdie has turned red since the Alpha series, he’s a “hot head” and easily get pissed off, so yea it’s basically him showing intense rage.
Zangief turns red because yes he can flex so hard as to make a vein burst out of his forehead, so I can imagine he’ll flex even harder than this to turn red.
Makoto turns red because she is tapping into Tanden Renki (丹田練氣- Dantian Refined Spirit). If you ever played Seth in SF4 than you should roughly know what a Tanden is, more specifically the one we are speaking of is a person’s midsection which is very important in martial arts as it controls your center of gravity. It is also known to be the essential “ki” generator of the body in qigong practice, and another term for it would be the Cinnabar Field (cinnabar being a shade of red)
The technique uses her kata (form) to tap into the Tanden for extra energy (refined spirit) and as she does this her skin takes on the color of the Cinnabar field energy. Of course a simple way of looking at it would just say she’s getting angry and her whole body turns red from rage, but if you know the context behind the name of the technique what happens then is an obvious reference to that.
Birdie doesn’t have any references to ki energy in the names of his move list, or does he seem to understand the concept in SFV (when Shibasaki is takling about Karin and Dhalsim’s fight). Although Zangief does know how to manipulate ki in the form of his Banishing Flat (Green Hand), I honestly think him just pumping up his muscles to generate heat is the answer to his reddening body
So not everything in SF revolves around ki energy, sometimes you just have freaks of nature like Birdie and Gief who can toss trains and Grizzly Bears around like rag doll just off brute strength alone.
Yes. He does. Nash has always been able to break the sound barrier with his body, the ability to move really fast is in line with his fighting style. I also think you are misinterpreting Ryu’s encounter with Nash. Nash wants to understand Ryu’s killing intent to understand his own killing intent, literally. This doesn’t mean that Nash actually can wield the SNH like Ryu or Akuma.
Mitsuomi is my favorite character in TT (along with Tessen) though the series really lost my interest after taking a few left turns it took in the narrative. Even before his injury, Mitsuomi was LUDICROUSLY tough as a fighter and only held back by his nice-guy attitude…but yes, I would say she might be a bit more like Masataka but with Mitsuomi’s dedication.
Though I have a soft-spot for guys like Bunshichi. No martial arts mysticism bullcrap…just pure fighting power (again, I’m biased based on my own background however )
Breaker? Never read it. Worth looking into? I’m also a HUGE fan of Ippo which I highly recommend. That series has some of the best thought-out and dramatic fights in ANYTHING
So we simply disagree OK. We will speak each other again after the story mode.
No I misinterpret anything either. Maybe you do if you ignore the exact using of power the, Ryus mentioning his SnH and how they are drawn by each other.
Nash is now fighting with the intent to kill. He has NEVER done this before. This is most likely affecting his chi. This resonates with SnH. Being a VERY skilled chi-user, Nash can sense this…hence the strange feeling with Ryu that draws him. Like calls to like. This does not mean that he is literally using SnH…just that he’s got killing intent.
Nash is not teleporting. It’s high-speed…and that is well within his character’s capability. We also do not know the extent of his augmentations/repairs from his injuries…these could be boosting his abilities. Nash, however, has ALWAYS been a high-speed capable character in the canon that is a VERY high-tier non-boss character when it comes to overall strength. If Guy can move around and be near-invisible when he does it (and he can), and if Vega can move around and be near-invisible when he does it (and he can)…then nothing should stop Charlie who is even more speed-focused (ALL his sonic stuff revolves around speed). The guy’s a jet-pilot for a reason…his reflexes are ABSURD.
As for Guile? Guile is a SLUG compared to Charlie. Guile is more based on power and has always been Nash’s inferior in skill. Always.
Considering all we’ve ever seen is Guile and a Charlie basically imitating Guile’s playstyle for game purposes…what is a “normal” sonic user? Ryu can dodge bullets. He isn’t built around speed. Nash is built around speed. That should give an idea of scale.
I compare him to Alpha moveset and the way he was potrayed. And it’s nothing like in V… I know he changed his character but his skills are so completely different and mixed with his comments doesn’t seem normal.
If you think the Ryu exchange about them being drawn to each other and needing to understand the POWER is just killing intent… Than ok
Only that it’s perfectly inline with his Sonic abilities. The name of his V-trigger is Sonic Move. The CG travel shows Sonic Move is him traveling in Sonic speed in short bursts. It’s not a genuine teleport.
Hmm I think Masataka’s got more dedication, he was the only one able to fight Mitsuomi on (almost?) equal grounds. Without some BS power from the gods or some such. The manga got too crazy and too many terms and references to Japanese legends and whatnot that it lost me, but I finished it and was nice to see it end.
I think you’ll like The Breaker. Korean manga that takes place in Korea where different martial arts schools exist but have their identity hidden from the normal populace so they remain unaware of the existence of people with astounding abilities.
