If you are referring to the doomsday prophecy that heralds his arrival, then yes others and myself believe that this game’s plot is at its core based on and will fulfill that prophecy.

I will be use English for Rashid why because of Ian Sinclair and twos words Space Dandy .
Right on, baby! Embrace…the Dandy way!
In an effort to understand Necalli more (and come to terms with the introduction of even more mystical elements into the universe), I drew some more of the interesting parallels between Necalli and Garuda.
[details=Spoiler]
Garuda
Necalli
*Unconfirmed: Necalli may physically begin to resemble those who he eats, or maybe he just requires human flesh/spirit to sustain a human appearance otherwise he turns back to stone. [/details]
#TeamGaruda by the way.
What about Jedah Dohma (http://darkstalkers.wikia.com/wiki/Jedah_Dohma) and Necalli?
[details=Spoiler]- Consume souls.
Liquid Body / Shapeshifters.
Pump enemies full of Blood / Negative energy (which is Necalli’s ‘Blood’) till they explode from the inside.
Don’t use punches, instead prefer to scratch and claw.
Can pass through entire dimensions (Earth-Makai / Earth-Wherever Necalli comes from).[/details]
[details=Spoiler]
I’m not sure that Necalli’s ability to liquify is the same as being a true shapeshifter. Necalli is more like an amoeba here than he is like Jeddah.
We also don’t know if Necalli is actually an inter-dimensional being. It is implied that he doesn’t come from Earth and only walks our plane of existence during the Hour of Battle. However that could just be fancy talk and he’s just sleeping in stone.
The fact that his job description reads ‘emissary of the gods’ is also a point to take into consideration. We don’t know if these are literal gods (Agni, Ingrid, etc.) or metaphors/fancy titles. But it could point to extra-dimensional origins.[/details]
What’s even more awesome, is that Bison knows of the ‘Hour of Necalli’. Capturing an extra-dimensional demigod is somehow a part of his grand scheme. What if those Shadaloo Death Balls are to isolate Necalli from his home dimension? Weaken him and trap him on Earth.
[details=Spoiler]I think Bison made it very clear that those 7 Psycho Stars of Awesomeness (PSA) are meant to bring about destruction and catastrophe on a global scale. Bison probably sees Necalli as a tool to be used, or a ‘worker ant/maggot/worm’ (MEANINGLESS!).
What Bison could be planning that involves Necalli:
1- Necalli keeps the heroes distracted and busy while Bison brings about the apocalypse.
OR
2- Bison plans on using Necalli as his next host body.
OR
3- Bison plans on Necalli drawing out the SNH from Ryu, and turning him evil. Remember the Warrior Prophet clearly says that before Necalli consumes Ryu, Ryu will devote himself to the fight completely and allow the ‘red power’ to take over. We also see a glimpse of this possibility in the CG trailer. Evil Ryu is more vulnerable to Bison’s Psycho Power which feeds on negative energy.
Still, how come none of the Street Fighters ever heard of Necalli before? It will be interesting to see how they come to know of him.

The reason Chun thinks he misspelt the number 2 is because instead of using the common character (二, which adorn his sleeves), he uses the more complex character (貳). This character is usually reserved for official notarized documents (typically bank statements or writing check), so its basically Fang’s way of being fancy. So unlike Sodom who is just horrible at writing Asian manuscripts, Fang seems to have an even more extensive knowledge in Chinese than Chun does in this regard. In an ironic fashion he could retort to Chun the exact same point about *actually *being Chinese.
Something else I noticed just going through stages is how the new Shadaloo bases are seemingly situated in China, what is also the presumed home of Fang. I just find it rather interesting Shadaloo’s main bases are seemingly situated in the home country of Bison’s right hand. First in Thailand which was Sagat’s home territory, and now with Fang in China.
How could you tell where Shadaloo’s bases are though? Is there a world map I am missing? I recall the world map in the Inner Sanctum stage, it had 4-5 markings scattered all over though.
@Magegg Can you think of anything similar to Necalli’s legend in Aztec myths? Like an Aztec boogeyman that comes to fight only the best of the best so as to collect their souls.
If you notice whenever your done picking characters depending on which stage you picked the globe that appears behind them on the character select screen will spin to a particular location and lines indicating the exact coordinates will pinpoint the location of the stage. Even though the characters sometimes obstruct the view of where the locations are exactly, you can tell by how the globe spins and the lines themselves, and get a general sense of where in the world it’s taking place.
The Waterfall stage will spin the globe til you end up southeast of Australia with lines that seemingly point to New Zealand. Kanzuki Estate is definitely pointing to Tokyo, and from what I can tell the China street stage seems to be a port city on the eastern coast facing Korea and Japan (Shanghai). Both Shadaloo base and the Four Kings stage occupy the same location, and is somewhat west southwest of the Chinese city location.
I can’t tell definitively for all of them because of in game details. Mainly things like cloud cover on the globe itself and the combination of globe movement with the characters themselves obscuring some of the locations, but I could tell that much from the stages I mentioned.
Do you guys think we will get extra story chapters as dlc down the line?
I mean cmon 3 mtahces to finish a story sometimes even 2 ??? I t feels quite rushed tbh.
They’re just prologues meant to set up the main story update in June. That’s why they’re so short.
We may get more prologues and even another cinematic with Season 2 or 3.
I hope so. It does feel a little short after you’ve completed a story mode for a character.
So far, it’s all to set up the cinematic story mode coming in June. But (and i’m just being optimistic here), if story mode is successful, and there is a high demand for more content for the next season, then Ono would consider making more story content. Also, maybe with each new character, we’re gonna get an additional character story content, but maybe we’ll also expand on the current character stories as well
Also, I read that Ono didn’t decide to greenlight story mode until June, giving them at least 7-8 months to complete character story mode, and a full year to complete cinematic story mode. if they do decide to make a 2nd cinematic story mode, they would have another full year to add more to it.
Anyone sense a “to be continued” at the end of the cinematic story?
People that own SFV will continue to see free content and updates every year. So I’m one of those people that wishes a stronger single player content and more story content in the upcoming months/years.
I believe some stories are already missing chapters, because the characters they fight against are DLC characters.
When you unlock the DLC characters, those chapters will probably also unlock.
We are definitely getting:
2-3 more of those character stories per character. If you notice in the menu, each character story is made up of several chapters, most of which are currently locked and to be released at a later date.
1 Cinematic Story in June.
Ono also hinted about the possibility of more cinematic stories in the future. This all depends on when the cinematic story ends. I doubt SF5 will re-tell the story of SF3, instead it will lead us directly into it and stop IMO.
Actually, the “locked chapters” are not future upcoming chapters, but they are part of the character story. Each fight unlocks the next segment of the story with the last segment you unlock being the epilogue of that character story. As of now, I’m looking at all the released videos and I’m seeing no visual evidence that there are future character stories coming down the road (unless you’re talking about the DLC characters).
