I was so excited about seeing a certain someone that i might of missed a major plot point within the text.
[details=Spoiler]
FANG mentions preparing 7 P.S.Aâs, and we know there are 7 of those giant orbs Shadalooâs launching into space. Of course Shadaloo has an acronym for everything, so does anybody care to speculate on what the hell a P.S.A is? Iâm guessing itâs not a Public Service Announcement, maybe a Psycho Service Announcement? Psycho Sun Absorbent? Psycho Solar Apparatus? Maybe like S.I.N weâll never officially know? Thoughts? Just realized the back wall in the shadaloo stage has the same hexagon pattern as the big Bison balls from the story trailer. I wonder if that stage is inside one of those things.
This was a very interesting point [details=Spoiler]Charlie says that he needs to understand these powers. So it doesnât seem like he had these abilities in Alpha, but they were subject to story and gameplay segregation. I really enjoyed that scene because I always wondered what it would be like if my olâ fave fought the company mascot, and both came away being treated respectfully. Also, if you look at Nashâs personality in this, it seems to confirm something I was wondering at the start of SF5âs media tour.
Earlier I was thinking and hoping that Charlie wasnât as heartless and brutal as he let on, but was warning people. If you look at his personality towards the end of his story and the Ryu encounter, heâs got some sass, but is respectful and even thanks him for the match. I think he feels "I lost everything and became a monster, so Iâll behave like a monster and prevent more innocents from getting hurt - heâs certainly obsessed and unhinged, but I get the vibe heâs using his appearance and newfound aggression to scare off people so that theyâll leave him be while he works.
I really am impressed with the offerings we have so far. Ono and his team are really getting it and even with some alterations and retcons, Street Fighterâs lore is going to be better for it moving forward.[/details]
[details=Spoiler]Yes, I believe itâs practically confirmed Oro will be playable. Karin is seeking him out, and he interacts with Dhalsim. Not only that, but in each of their respective stories, a decently large chunk is centered around him. It would be odd if he physically appears in Dhalsimâs story while Karin is looking for him, and he ends up not being playable.
Plus, he mentions sensing another interesting person in the nearby area, hinting at interaction with more characters. I canât wait, honestly :)[/details]
[details=Spoiler]Anyone notice how Oro has all these young girls chasing after him? Ibuki in SF3, and now Karin in SFV. Speaking of Ibuki, something interesting I noticed in Mikaâs story was that Ibuki mentions sheâs been working for the Kanzukiâs longer than Mika has. With that, and Karin herself mentioning the Glade of Ninjas being under her service in Kenâs story Iâm guessing this confirms that Ibuki herself and her clan are employed by the Kanzukiâs.
[details=Spoiler]Speaking of Karin, she has gotten so powerful, I love it
And about Ibuki, yes I agree with you. Iâm guessing her employment under Karin is how she get involved in story mode, and how the Glade of Ninjas discover the Secret Society. This would smoothly lead into her SFIII story. This is all just theories, though.[/details]
[details=Spoiler]I was never really a sizeable fan of Karin back in the SFA3 days. I liked her moves, but I kinda wrote her off as another ojou type. Donât get me wrong, she was fun, but I like that she seems more mannered and chill here while still having that drive for greatness. Sheâs really grown up and is really likeable. I at first thought sheâd be treating Birdie like a lackey, but other than landing on him, she seems to treat him well. It was touching that she was so happy to see Sakura.
Overall Iâm really loving how connected so many characters are in this story. This is what I always wanted from Street Fighter; more acknowledgement of connections. With all the craziness theyâve been through, their world should be rather small, so itâd make sense for many of the fighters to know each other and know of various reputations.
