I have got a really stiff heavy spring. Ususally once broken in they are great. This particular spring has refused to cooperate in the process. Is there anyway I can loosen it just a little bit more? Can I just pull the spring a bit? Not sure what I need to do.
I have never had that problem. I would just take the microswitches out of the stick, put the hard spring in, and proceed to mash the living shit out of it, Johnson Bros. style (someone get the video of them or some other mashers playing CvS2).
I was thinking of just popping the spring out, and literally stretching it a bit.
That actually might make it tighter, as it will be compressed when you put it back on the stick.
Yes you are right.
It is amazes me, that after months of playing on it, it feels only slightly less stiff than when I first installed it. I will try compressing it between my hands a bit (no homo).
Did you get yourās from LizardLick? Iām about to order one.
i just ordered a spring from him.
I need some help with this. Its more of a HAPP question then a pad-hacking questionā¦ well I currently play on a JLF Sanwa and its good but i want that arcade feel that i get when playing 2d fighters. I play at University Pinball (by play i mean all 4 times i have gone) and im pretty sure they use all p360ās. But from what I have read, its almost impossible to get a p360 onto a ps2 pad because ofthe voltage differences. I canāt find a clear cut answer on these threads SOā¦

is the IL comp similar to or just as good as the p360 for 2D fighters like Marvel vs Capcom 2 OR is the P360 really the only way to go?
-
(maybe a pad-hacking questions but any help would be great) How do you get the 5 volts necessary to run a p360 using a PS Pad? Is it a matter of finding the right pad, if so which one?
i know i asked a lot of questions but even if i can get an answer to one i would appreciate it.
ha all the machines are marvel?
Any of you have problems with the actuators hitting the switches way too late in the stickās throw? I have tried swapping actuators and that did not fix the problem. This usually occurs when going for the diagonals. For example, I am holding up/forward and while I can here the forward switch clicking, it takes a while for the up switch to click. This really sucks when you are trying to do tiger knee motions and what not.
The new Happ sticks have lots of manufacturing flaws so it would not surprise me if it turns out they fucked up the dimensions of the gate. When did you buy your Happ Comp?
A while ago. However, I do have one of the new Happ sticks (black actuator) that I have not used. Going to try and see if I can swap it with Ponyboyz.
Yeah you are right about the quality though, Happ is too random. I swapped shafts with another stick, seemed to remedy the problem. These parts are not as percisely made as I would like. I guess that is why they only cost 8 bucks a piece.
the actuator turns when i move the sick so is that normal?
Another thing you can try is to push the microswitches further inwards when mounting them, as in only using one screw and pushing the the red tab closer to the actuator. If you do so I would highly recommend sanding down the white casing otherwise the actuator will rub against it and push it back into place. It will make the engagement sooner and diagonals much easier to hit.
Yes that is normal, unless you mean it can turn a complete 360. It is supposed to be able to move a little, I believe Wico called it a āfloating actuatorā.
bump T_____T
I thought about removing one of the screws that holds the switch down, but I opted not to go that route for fear of it loosening during actual gameplay. Sanding would remedy that problem, but I prefer to leave things āstockā as much as possible.
Recently i ordered 3 new P360 pcbs (yes you can only order the perfect 360 pcb, they go for about $19 ish on happ site) anyways a couple of those diodes were literally BENT 90 deg on the P360 pcb !!! WTF! i was so pissed that they would allow such poor quality control on them. anyways i bent them back up and re-inforced them with some solder.
So i would recommend people who order the ācompleteā P360ās to open them up and check out the p360 pcb to be sure the diodes are upright and NOT laying down
on a side subject, i was wondering if someone ( maybe lizardlick or anybody else with "connections) could get these washer bearings custom made for a way cheaper price. because Happ sell them for about a buck each! so that tells ya the material is poo poo
Can anyone link me to a light up happ button mod tutorial? i wanted to place some ledās in my anniversary stick after i mod it. thanks in advance^_^
also, anyone know where i can get a clear/translucent colored ball top for a happ comp stick? thanks again.
Spiff show your work on your anniversary stick, cuz I have SFAC stick too!
Quick question to anyoneā¦
Could someone please provide a link or tell me where i can go to order a p360 for the x-box 360? Thank you.
