I really want to know what Gon has up his sleeve, for Pitou to be as terrified of Gon as he is, as I half expected Pitou to soil himself in one panel atleast.
Chapter out.
UGH!
UGHH!
If everyone hadnât fucked up their jobs (except netero), King would be dead.
In other news,
No Toriko translations.
But we donât need them because this fight is sick. Looks like the knocking guy is going to fight the monster in tommyrod.
I wonder what the king will do. Looks like the only way for everyone to get out of this is to talk their way out.
@The current chapters: Well, shit. Itâs like the scenario keeps getting worse and worse.
The king having temporary amnesia from almost dying is not something I expected to happen and, frankly, theyâre only way out (talking) seems like itâs not even on the table anymore, even if seeing Komugi triggers something.
Also, Iâm dubbing Palmâs other Hatsu âCrystal Eyeâ until we get a proper name and whatever the hell it exactly does.
@At past chapters: I had forgotten how freaking hilarious Hanzo was despite the fact that he was a serious warrior. One example of many.
I also never completely forgotten that Pokkle has specifically said he wanted to hunt rare animals. Poor bastard.
Last of the oldest chapters I read (in physical format, since the old chapters on OneManga are way too inconsistent for my likely) was the fight against Kastro. Itâs still such an excellent fight, especially since itâs the only time thus far where Hisoka looks like heâs actually in trouble and itâs shown that heâs really smart and not just brute forcing his way through others, which makes him even more dangerous.
I also forgot how emotionless Illumi. Heâs probably the only person thatâs creepier than Hisoka because he WILL kill you.
I actually quite like the verbosity of the Mangashare translations. They seem more accurately to reflect Hunter x Hunterâs thought process and style of prose.
I get what youâre saying, but it sometimes gets a little too convoluted and redundant:
http://mangastream.com/read/hunter_x_hunter/295-48/4
http://www.onemanga.com/Hunter_X_Hunter/295/03/
Sometimes Mangastreamsâ incessant wordiness leads to words like revocate instead of revoke (like when people say conversate instead of converse).
Understood.
Anyway, it would appear that Chapter 302 came out earlier today on OneManga.
Thankfully the obnoxious watermarks arenât plastered all over it like the last chapter on OneManga.
Still wondering what exactly Palmâs power is and how they are going to beat any of these four.
Isnât her power like the queens parasite power. Queen from starcraft, only all she has to do is see her target.
She should have explained her power back when she first used it with Gon.
READ TORIKO.
regarding toriko, i talked to a japanese friend the other day and he corrected my pronunciation, its not bishokuya but bishokuka, and after thinkin for awhile that made complete sense. but yeah whatever lol
Does it really make more sense? What confused me since the beginning was the name of Torikoâs group (I just think of them as the heavenly kings) versus the name of the⌠other group that grinpatch/tommyrod/stayujin belong to.
toriko 89
[details=Spoiler]Well, that thing is finally out of the bag. I translated it as parasite esopura at first, because of that stupid language and a stupid rule I made up.
Anyway, 82. 82 is pretty fucking high. Poor Hellboros though, only being 71. Seems like barrygamon and bogyuz are gonna get fuuuuuucked up, since they were shitting themselves over level 40 monsters. Toriko lost against Tommyrod in a fair fight, but at least he did a good job.
Also, dude canât do knocking on parasite emperor since it is a new lifeform created by Tommyrod. Well, I mean he can, but he wonât have prior knowledge.
Is it safe to assume that Torikoâs CL is somewhere around 70-ish, and Tommyâs was 80s?[/details]
Bam, bam, bam. 3 chapters in a row, and Toriko is current again. Teppei seems pretty buff. He hasnât been touched yet. Poor Toriko losing to Tommyrod. Doesnât even have an excuse since the fight was always 1 on 1, and no bullshit side fights either. All the bugs were Tommyrodâs attacks.
This was a great arc, but Iâm glad that itâll be over soon. I wonder how this series will pan out with 200+ chapters. How strong will a landshark be? Or a fully matured Battle Wolf? Triple digit capture levels are going to be silly.
Chapter up.
Killua has a nice combat buff with that lightning stuff. We havenât seen Gon fight in forever, though, and his technique doesnât really have an element or ways of getting around how straight-forward it is. Also, I donât imagine him fighting nef. Maybe Kaito gets revived and they go for a round two?
Or maybe everyone just walks away.
Three posts in a row. Just saw something interesting on manga helpers. Apparently all the guards are named after egyptians + some characters from a french childrenâs book.
Neferpitou is from Nephthys
Menthuthuyoupi is from Monthu
Shaiapouf is from Shu
- characters from this for the pitou, youpi, pouf.
Well, maybe.
Also, I didnât realize that the country they are in now is supposed to be North Korea. Man mangahelpers, you blew my mind.
Also, HxH outsells Bleach. Sales go, roughly (by volume)
One Piece 2m sales per volume
Naruto at about 1m
HxH at about 800k
Bleach 700k
NGL = North Korea?
I thought NGL was a separate place from East Goruto, which is whatâs the North Korea stand-in.
As for East Goruto being North Korea, I honestly thought it was extremely obvious. I mean the dictator even looks like Kim and thereâs frequent mentioning of brainwashing even before Pufu did his thing.
Itâs rather funny, though, that I donât recall thinking anything of Killuaâs speech against tyrants earlier in this arc.
The Egyptian thing is kind of interesting, though.
Oh, and the last chapter is also out on OneManga, Hoonyo. This time I actually did like the OneManga translation better.
P.S. Heh. Just reading through the older chapters when the King was born reminds how hilarious I still find the whole Palm-dating situation. (Yes, I am aware that sounds like a euphemism. Deal with it.)
Shut up, damned!
Well, I didnât know shit about Korea until relatively recently. So the similarity was all over my head when I originally read it, and then when I did learn about it, I didnât put two and two together until it was bluntly stated.
naruto ok, but what i still cant understand is how a piece of shit manga like op can sell twice as much copies as naruto? shit reeks.
hxh was dope this week, cant wait for next weeks one. gon better have some shit hes been hiding for some time.
OP has a better/more interesting universe than OP, and is more accessible for all age groups. Everyone in Japan from ages 10-40 or so rank OP as their #1 because of its broad appeal.
HxH is mostly popular for people in their 20s+30s.
Personally I like how the designs are so abstract and crazy. Also OP actually has an interesting story where something is always happening. Naruto makes me want to facepalm and is too predictable in the sense that you can tell what will happen because too many other anime/mangas have similar sequences. The drawings in Bleach are really lazy as far as what is going on in each panel. I think the Aizen trolling is funny as shit though. HnI was really good until 200 chapters ago, shit is dumb now.
HxH started off really strong but the art seems like chicken scratch these days. I still kinda like it, but I think I am reading it now just because at one point it was my favorite and I want to see it till the end.
