The Hsien-Ko wishlist

Shit. How did I not think of that… Well, there goes that idea lol.

I really do think Rimoukon is the whole reason behind where she is. I don’t know what to say now, though. Seth should’ve just outright said what was hard to balance in her moveset. I can guarantee it’s that. It’d save us a lot of wondering and let us accept our position more.

Most likely the reason why they made her like this and I can see the thinking they went through.
Maybe they felt giving her mobility to chase would make her lock-down ungodly with Gold Armor or something. Also with Gold Armor on people can’t mindlessly rush you down or attack. I guess they factored that in and just made her slow overall so people could run away while it is in effect. Powerful assist yeah, but on point… can’t chase, effect doesn’t last long, and I think it doesn’t build meter (I can’t remember).

Also stealing SteelyHawke’s signature with a few slight alterations. I figure if they browse through these forums, they might get hear our pleas.

If that’s their reasoning, it’s just silly to make a move that has good potential, then make it useless.

And no, you can’t build meter in RImoukon.

Just throwing this out there - I’m sure you guys mean let her combo off of her air throws, as she can already combo off her standing backthrow.

The change for her combos in the corner that allow for three Henkyo Ki using cr.H and f.H means that she can do a solid 650k+ in the corner, right?

Her current combo does about 408k max with her normal moves and 556k using the Tenrai Ha as well. Giving her another few f.H and henkyo ki should beef her up in the corner enough so that she might even hit 700k with mashing on the Tenrai Ha. Hopefully they go one step further and make it so that she can get in on people better.

That sounds about right. I think this also means that, with mashable TRH, she should get ≈ 500k, I think?

Also, I just realized that Ko’s Vanilla MvC3 art looks nothing like her.

Regular Tenrai Ha does about 273k, but that doesn’t matter much unless you happy birthday someone and their assist character(which means raw Tenrai Ha damage for assist which is pretty terrifying). The damage on Tenrai Ha is nearly halved when used in a normal combo and it does even less on characters with a small hitbox.

We’d be lucky to get 370k raw damage on the Tenrai Ha and 210k+ in a normal combo when mashing comes into the equation. Those are my estimates at least…

They should make her overall speed faster outside of the armor effect if they feel it is too strong.

Buff her normal ground/air dash to speeds somewhere between XF1 and XF2 while her gold armor speed stays somewhere around XF1 levels…

It’s so brilliant and simple that I’m mad at myself for not thinking it up.

I’d already posted a Hsien-Ko corner combo that does around 485k outside of supers and builds 2 bars. Depending on how many gong/ball drop loops you are able to do and how many balls you are lucky enough to have connect, it’ll do a lot of damage, with two Tenrai Ha loops netting you about 850k. I think the max I’ve gotten was around 1.5 million with 5 bars.

I honestly can’t wait to see how much more damage she is capable of once Tenrai Ha becomes mashable. That and the jump-cancellable normals are about the only two changes I’m excited for so far.

Hsien-Ko needs faster walk speed and air dash, boom. Make her dash faster too whilst you’re at it.
Hsien-Ko actually needs some direction, how is she meant to be played? Offensively, defensively, bit of both? 'cause she’s kinda shit at everything. Think they should make her a bit like Deadpool so she’s good at pestering from range until an opportunity opens up then she digs in and does some nice damage.

I think that’s kind of how they want us to play her. But they’re not doing it very well if so… Hence why I want to hear Seth give an overview for her. Hell just ot make it fair, a quick overview of all the characters.

Maybe the new strategy guide will reveal all…

I just imagined this in my mind and it was glorious. Capcom would make it shit so they’d be trolling Lei Lei fans, Raptor fans, AND the Japanese.

Ranadiel talked a bit about the Chireitou and this is my idea of how it should have been made in Ultimate

-Size of initial blades is increased for better AA hyper purposes
-Startup time decreased
-Bulk of damage occurs on initial blades which are larger(makes for a better hyper when only three or so blades hit close to the corner)
-Blades push point character back until the third blade(as opposed to second right now)
-Blades pick up both point and assist character(how the hell did this get past the team!?)

I think it’s a very MAHVEL style hyper with these changes.

Honestly, the thing it needs the most is an invincible start-up at this point, so it could at least be used defensively. Why an incredibly slow, defensive zoning character doesn’t have at least one super with start-up invincibility is beyond me. Also I’d rather it push a blocking character back the whole distance of the super instead of just the second or third blade so that Hsien-Ko can establish some breathing room.

God, every time I think about Hsien-Ko’s present incarnation it just get very angry at Capcom.

I would like to see her Anki Hou assist changed to Edoga. The move is far better than just an item toss that would not really do much, and would give us more options than just having to use the Senpu Bu assist.
I also like the idea of having Henkyo Ki changed to QCB, unless they decide to give her another move with that input there is no reason not to. Given her speed she needs that ease of input. It maybe spammable but its not unbeatable, and it would make the corner loops easier.
Change her Dark Force animation to look like hers from VS. I may have said this before but seeing her sister doing the mystic dance is wayyyy cooler than a tag dancing on the screen.
Tenrai Ha not being random, obvious.
I would like Chireitou to be faster startup only for pushing the enemy back. As far as combos go I’m used to delaying j.H.
Give her Dark Force a little more umph. I know its only supposed to be super armor, but seeing that its releasing all restrictions (Tsubaki reference, lol) I would like to get more out of it (or at least a longer time).
Scale the Henkyo Ki’s appropriately, according to the Brady guide they all have the same startup and recovery just different durations(I think).
Make Senpu Bu cancelable by pressing S. I agree that it would give more depth to her as a character, and at least make her like she should be (VS).
In relation to the Henkyo Ki input change, give her a counter with the 421 motion. It would give her more options in terms of survivability, plus she is a martial arts user she should at least have something along those lines.
