i dont think this was answered yet so, how do you rotate the pcb on the JLF-TP-8T? do you just rotate it by hand or do you have to disassemble it?
I have the same question because I ordered that stick from lizard to mod the SE Stick. I know that thereās a 90 degree movement to be made, but whatās the process of doing the 90 degree change? Sorry if Iām acting too noobishā¦
Anyone stick a chutulu pcb in this to make it compatible with both consoles? Is the 360 pcb common ground?
Had the same washer issue and just sent out an order for a new joystick and 8 buttons via Lizard Lick. Anyone know how long it usually takes for an order to be delivered?
This was on page 3.
Got a look at my PCB today, wow is that thing wrecked, scratched to death.
That is a beautiful mod. Thanks.
OK the SE will be my first stick and I became a member of SRK just so I could learn something about how to mod joysticks. After some research I only have two questions.
A) What do you guys perfer, the Sanwa JLF-TP-8T Ball Handle Joystick, 4 & 8-Way Adjustable, OR the Seimitsu LS-32-01 Ball Handle Joystick, 2, 4, & 8 Way??
Yes I know what your gonna say, āit comes down to preferanceā, but I have never used any of the two sticks, so tell me which you like and why, please=)
B)I wanna get the screw in buttons for the SE but since that last hole is hard to put those kind of buttons in, canāt I just get a push in button of the same make for the last one, while the rest are screw inās?
Thank you for your time you informative people:wgrin:
i too am tryna figure out the whole deal with the pcb situation in regards to jlf-tp-8t. this is the stick i plan on ordering from lizardlick. everyones is saying that this stick is compatible, yet they fail to answer whether or not you in fact need to rotate the pcb. if there is anyone here who has used this particular stick for there se could you please elaborate whether not this true. and if so please explain the process of doing so.
You shouldnāt need it, as the stock one should plug into the same connector. Someone else will have to chime in on the S mount, as far as I know all you have to do is rotate it 90 degrees and it should mount. I havenāt had a chance to try this yet, so hopefully someone else can help who installed a seimitsu ls-32.
Iāve read some where that you can remove stripped screws by putting some saw dust in the head. I have never tried it personally, but I guess you can try it out and see if that works.
ran across a youtube video that i think answers our question. looks like the parts just snap off so you could just rotate the pcb that way.
hereās the vid, itās in the very beginning when he starts taking it apart:

After doing some reading I think Iāve decided to go with the Seimitsu LS-32-01 stick, but I have a question. What exactly does this meanā¦ āa square gate that can be set to eight-, four- or two-way operationā? I donāt really have any experience with arcade sticks, but I do know that Iād like an octagonal gate. So is this saying the stick comes with an adjustable restrictor plate that can be set to octagonal?
Itās one piece than comes with 3 plates, 2, 4, and 8 way.
See the blue piece of the right? Itās currently in 8 way. The gate above that one is 4 way and the one below is 2.
Sorry but i see 4 or 5 people asking this and it hasnāt been answered:
If youāre using the JFL-TP-8T, do you have to rotate the pcb?
i would really just hope that whoever mods their SE stick can youtube up a video
it would probably clear up a lot of confusion at the moment
Iām pretty sure you have to. I read on Lizard Lick that in order to convert it to JFL-TP-8TY you have to rotate it. I ordered my parts and everything should come this week so Iāll comment on my final results.
Do you have a link to that?
