k thank you for the reply
So what happens if you canāt remove the connector from the stick? That thing is impossible to remove
My stick (sanwa jlf) has recently been not registering Up inputs. I can hear the āclickā but no jump comes out. I verified it in training mode with input display on and sure enough, no up input. Is there any way to fix this or should I just replace it?
Also, if I did replace it Iād like a stick that was a little stiffer because sometimes my jlf wouldnāt snap back to neutral as fast as Iād like. Iāve used it a lot so itās a little mushy. Are there any other sticks that would fit into my SE and not require any serious modifications or soldering?
^could get another sanwa to replace, and just use a tighter spring.
any idea how I would get a tighter spring or install it?

Thanks for the help.
Can you put sanwa srew ins in the madcatz sticks like you can the seimitsu screw ins?
Not without modify the Nut for Button closest to Mounting Bracket.
Hi, I just replaced my old stick with a new Sanwa stick. After replacing it, the up and down inputs do not register⦠I put the old stick back in and they donāt register anymore either. Does anyone know whatās going on? Everything worked fine before I switched the stick out⦠Could something have gotten damage? Thanks!
sorry my terminology is terrible, but perhaps you put the 5-pin thingy upside-down? this would usually cause up and/or down to not register properly.
I think it is the 5-pin connector⦠I think some of the glue got inside a few of the holes and itās messing up the connection⦠Iām trying to locate a replacement for the 5 pin connector but itās not easy⦠Lizard Lick has a JLF harness but I donāt think it is exactly the same because I donāt see a male or female connector on the one they sellā¦
I posted this in another thread. But Iām going to ask it here again since noone seems to be replying me there
Iām planning to get an SE Stick for myself, since the price is rather reasonable. I have a few questions:
-
If I swap out the stick for a Sanwa, there will NOT be any problems anymore right? And I know this is a very noob question, but does a Sanwa stick come with a PCB itself or do I have to use the PCB which comes with the SE Stick? From what I read from the Modding SE Tutorial, I just have to remove the old stick, and screw in the new stick. Nothing is written there about the PCB.
-
Is there a problem with the PCB connected to the buttons? Iāve read someone who posted that some of their buttons stopped responding (and they have already swapped out the stock buttons for sanwa parts).
Hope someone can clarify these two questions for me. And probably advice me on whether or not to get the SE Stick for myself. It will be my very FIRST stick⦠So I donāt want to make a wrong choice.
And Iām not willing to fork out cash to buy a TE just yet lol.
Thanks guys!
I canāt seem to find clear buttons. Checked lizardlick and eBay⦠any other suggestions?

Just pull out the stock SE stick and put in the Sanwa one, the PCB stays the same.
-
The buttons that come stock in the SE are ok but if you are already going to order a new stick might as well go for it and get the real Sanwa buttons (they are much nicer) but the stick itself will make the biggest difference.
I understand the TE is more expensive, but you will not regret it in the long run, I own both an SE and a TE and the TE is honestly 5x better. Plus the SE will run you about $50, stick $25, Buttons $25 = $100 already, might as well spend a few extra bucks and get the TE. No modding necessary and a heavier more high quality product.

Scroll down untill you see this:
Seimitsu PS-14-KN 30mm Pushbutton
The (White) ones are the clear.
Oo Ty kindly
And graphics would be visible through it?
Yes you have to open the button, and cut out your art to fit inside then put the button back together. There is a tutorial here in tech Talk, if you search around you should be able to find it although itās pretty straight forward and not required.
Yea Ty. I knew the buttons came apart, just wasnāt sure if it was that clear to see thru sharply. Been skimming the tutorials. CPU is broke so I gotta navigate with my Droid. Gonna try n do el fuerte stick. Will post pics when finished. Wish me luck!
Yes you can see through easliy with the (White) ones.
Np man, good luck. Itās easy just take your time and it will turn out great!
