The how to mod your SFIV SE Fightstick FAQ

did you get the adapter that comes with it? should be about 1/3 of an inch with threads on the inside and outside.

He talking about connecting the Wire Harness of Mad Catz to the Joystick, not the Bat Top.
Because the JLW-UM-8 does not use Wire Harness, he doesn’t know what to do.

I think my SE is some kind of mutant. When I try to pull the connectors off, they’re in so tight that a piece of the old button came with it, now I’m not sure how to pull it off. That sucker just won’t let go.

Use a flat screwdriver and wedge it.

you could also use needle nose pliers, just be sure to grab it by the metal part and not the wire.

Hey I just got my SE stick and one of the buttons (R1) is way more sensitive then any of the others, i’m going to mod it eventually but I was just seeing if there was a quick fix I can do like maybe swapping the L2/R2 button with it?

Its really annoying as I cant rest my fingers on the buttons because it will just keep activating hp.

Thanks

Hey, so recently the wire on my Madcatz SE has worn through near the entrance to the box, by where the start and select buttons are located, and now the wires are all exposed, and the stick is no longer functional. I was wondering if I could just cut the wire a bit farther down, and strip it a bit to expose fresh wires, and re solder it the PCB? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

…

Thanks took a bit of work but that fixed it.

Now, for some reason, one of my buttons isn’t working. If the wires are connected properly, what could be the cause of this?

Please don’t mind me. I’m just the biggest idiot ever. I had disconnected the connectors to adjust the button because the position wasn’t symmetrical with the others (yeah I can get anal about things like that).

Move along.

Does a Octo restrictor GT-Y and the LB-39 bubble fit the stock SE stick?

I’m ready to confirm my order if they do.

Does anyone know where I can get a controller connector? I accidentally messed up my stock one for the my Madcatz SE Stick and I have no idea what the connector is called nor where to get one from.

What are you looking for?
I don’t know what a controller connector is.

The 5 pin harness that is connected from the pcb to the actual stick.

Oh, okay.
JST H5P-SHF-AA.

After you get the Housing, you will need to crimp Terminal Pins that are less than 2mm.
SHF-001T-0.8BS from JST.

I say you should just buy a Sanwa JLF-H.
Then remove the Mad Catz Wire Harness and use the new one instead.

Hey guys, really important question? Is there any PCB replacement guides or maybe a PCB replacement I can buy? I fear that something might be wrong with my PCB because buttons are not responding properly sometimes, and swapping the buttons dose help but only for a very small amount of time.

Lammy label in the UK

Anyone out there in the UK know where they print ‘lammy labels’… I have no clue where to go to get my artwork printed…

Those quick disconnects are impossible to remove on the TE Round 2. So much force is required.

Don’t force them. You can accidentally break the wire or tab on the microswitch. There should be a little bit of play in them. Pull them out the 1/8 of an inch, so you can fit a small flathead screwdriver or nail file or something in there and twist. They’ll pop right off.

Would you recommend Plyers as well or no.
