Is it possible to fit HAPP or anything like HAPP into the SF4 SE? Joystick too.
So yeah I probably shoulda looked up the technical specs on the dimensions FIRST, but sometimes just diving into a project is more interesting⦠anyhow you can see by the photo below what the main problem is. The Happ / iL stick is just too damn long for the TE case. Wiring and mounting issues aside (i was actually able to get the mounting plate to line up enough to use some spacers and washers for securing), I really donāt feel like extending the overall case depth or using it without the bottom attached!
Iāve already placed an order with eczangief (http://www.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=221901) for his custom circle gate, and plan on using a multi spring setup to achieve a more āhapp-likeā feel with the JLF stick⦠:wonder:

Only four pages total.
So nothing bad.
There is a Post that tells how to do the Buttons.
That is why you have to read.
I did not Quote it.
So, trying to get an LS-32-01 into here, but the screws that attached the mounting plate on the stock stick donāt go into the side mounts for the LS-32-01 properly. Iām not sure if itās because of faulty mfring on the the plate or what, but does anyone know about what size screws I should be looking to put in the sides? Should I just take it to a hardware store and try to find some that fit?

My hk and 3xK buttons crap out on me randomly
Sometimes in the middle of matches⦠Then the work randomly a week or so later! I tried opening it up and switching around/ tightening the quick disconnects, but it still doesnt helpā¦any suggestions?
Asked this a while back, and its still happening, and starting to piss me off, expecially in the middle of a match. Tinkering with the qds and buttons and stuff doesnt help at all, it just randomly decides to work when it feels like itā¦something im doing wrong? I dont think I incorrectly installed anything, because it worked perfectly for about 3 months after i first modded my SE.
Just want to say a big thanks for this thread, half my SE buttons had stopped registering often when I was playing, I followed this thread having never opened up a arcade stick in my life (the SE is my first ever stick), was all done and dusted in no time, now rocking all Sanwa parts, great guide!
Recently received bought a SE stick to mod and was having some trouble with pulling the wires off the original buttons. I do not know the terminology but to put it bluntly I accidentally snapped off one of the pin things on the button into the thing that connects to the wire. I have been trying to get it out but nothing is working, so I assume I need to replace that wire or connector but I could be wrong. I want to know what my options from here, is there a place I can buy replacement wires or something?
Has anyone had a problem removing the quick disconnects from the stock buttons? On my SE stick, three of the disconnects are bent and I have had no luck removing them. Any tips?

Try putting a flat head under them. Thatās what I always do.
Thatās a great idea! Iāll try it! Thanks for the quick reply!!

Ahah no problem Let us know how it went.
I used a combination of a small flat head and a pair of pliers to get them loose. It worked out great with a little bit of effort! Thanks for the tip!
Is there a way to replace the start/select buttons from the side?
Hey guys bout to order an octagonal gate and the sanwa buttons from that site to upgrade my SE for Ps3 but got a couple quick questions before I drop the loot on it. By getting the 8 way gate and the buttons is it pretty much the same quality as the SS4 TE stick or am I better off getting the TE stick? (seems a lot cheaper just to order the parts). Also with the 8 way will I be able to do the Shoryuken short cut? On the stock square gate Iām hardly ever able to get it to come out.

Just adding the gate will not fix the fact that the stock stick is crap⦠You will need a JLF to go with the gate.
The shortcut is easier on Square?
How do on Octagon?
Shortcut is :df::d::df:+:p: by the way.
:df::df:+:p: is NOT the shortcut.
Yeah I know how to shortcut, I have EX2 for 360 and able to do it fine just the SE sucks with stock I guess. But n e ways, getting the jlf would that up the performance comparable to TE? along with the other parts of course.
Yes, then you would have the same stick and buttons as the TE (assuming you purchase Sanwa buttons).
iām trying to swap in Sanwa buttons, but they do not fit. the four little notches at the top prevent the buttons from snapping in. how do i fix this? theyāre normal OBSF-30s
Edit: nevermind, i just had to use waaay more force than i thought iād need. -_-
Just force them in. Theyāll fit. Those notches on the buttons will scrape off if you force them in.
Thanks for the info guys, probably gonna order tonight and get this pos playable. One last question. On the gates lizard lick has theres 4way/8 ways how are the performance on those? I was thinking about getting the strictly 8 way one http://www.lizardlickamusements.com/images/for_sale/joysticks/sanwa_gty.jpg Any opinions?
