the PS3 and 360 se fightstick is a little bit different… how come the ps3 fighstick dont include that usb adapter that comes off incase you trip over it wont pull your console or fightstick along with it… why is this safety feature only available on the xbox360 version of this fightstick and not ps3 ???

you should be glad that not both versions come with the USB adapter thing as it was rumored to be causing problems in actual gameplay.

So I’ve been playing a lot of marvel lately and the stock se joystick just doesn’t spring back to neutral fast enough… some of my buttons are failing on me too

Obviously I’m looking to make some mods (my 1st mods ever actually) and I’m pretty sure I’m going to get Sanwa OBSF-30 buttons but I’m not sure exactly what joystick would be best

I’m under the impression that Happ’s are the best for marvel but they don’t fit into the SE… so between sanwa and semitsu joysticks which would have the stiffer spring for marvel

Sorry I’m a relative noob when it comes to sticks and parts, I’ve only had my SE since June

Can anyone please tell me their magic secret to getting the stock wiring harness to work properly with the JLF? I have to hold the tab up with my fingers for the damn thing to even register the “down” input. I’ve tried hot glue – that didn’t work. The wiring harness just slips right off – even with the most delicate of pulls.

No down input = inability to play.

Someone, please… gimme some help. I’m really desperate to get this remedied soon, as I have a tournament to participate in on Monday.

Did you pull the wire out? That’s the only reason I could think that it’s not working.

seimitsu with a circle gate is about as close as you’ll get to a stiff happ stick

No, I didn’t.

okay I figured a seimitsu would be better…

how would one work with an octogonal gate? I know you said circle but thats not really going to affect anything besides the feel of riding the gate correct? I’ve actually gotten pretty used to the square gate anyway and it makes it easier to air dash df

And I should just go with the sanwas too then?

Octo is my pref for MvC2 because I can still somewhat feel my corners and edges vs. a circle gate. For buttons you can go sanwa or seimitsu, some will say there is a difference but I’ve had both and I can’t tell. I prefer seimistus just because of the color selections.

cool, thanks alot man

man buttons are starting to crap out on me so I figured I’d go ahead and start modding my stick… at least now I know what to get

enjoy and post some pics in modded stick thread when you’re done.

Hmmm, it seems like my joystick connector is glued together. Any way to remedy this?

Do you mean the tab connecting the PCB to your stock stick? Just stick a tiny screwdriver or knife in there and carefully lift the screwdriver up and it should come out with a little force.

even better you can take an exacto knife and just slide it across the glue and you don’t run the risk of breaking it off with a screwdriver

if i want to make my 360 stick a dual mod, do I only need to add one of the cthulu boards, or do i need a ps3 controller hack too?

I want to dual mod my stick, but i have no experience with PS3

Just need to add Cthulhu is all.

thanks homey…I appreciate it.

So after almost a year, i went and bougth a stick, and following the guide i have replaced everything that i needed to with no problems.

now the only problem i have is the connection to the sanwa stick connecter keeps coiming out. it just feels too loose and during a match the stick will stop working until i open it back up and plug it in again, but its too much to deal with all the time. any ideas on what i can do?

I just hot glue gunned my sticks harness to the connector and its worked perfectly. It’s easy, clean, and pretty easily taken off if you need to replace your stick in the future.
