This only I used a pocket knife.
Sup guys my SE stick stop responding, called MC and they sent me knew one. Still not responding. I checked they wires, could the PCB be messed up? I am waiting on my new parts from LL, but it seems like a wiring issue. Iāve swapped my art on the face and glued down washer. Could I have jolted something outta place? Also notice a goo on the circuit board, is this a conductor, should I have wipe it clean from the PCB? First time modder and its been a tough experience. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Sent u a new fightstick or just the joystick?
Thx for the guide.
My order for lizardlick finally came in after 2 months. And I finally finished.
After 2 hours and 2 bloody thumbs from trying to get the disconnectors off, and did the stick in 15 minutes.
I realized my mistakes in trying to do it when I finished, so hereās some little bits about this simple mods that people experienced in this may forget to mention when making a guide for total newbs in this department.
Personally, this is the first time I opened up some type of hard-ware to modify something. So these can be the type of mistakes one might makeā¦
I had the hardest time getting the disconnectors off, I tried the tips suggested earlier, pliers ect. It took till the last two buttons and one broken disconnector till I realized my mistake.
I been trying to take it off by gripping the flat sides of the disconnectors, and found that by gripping the thin sides, it made it alot easier. When I tried to grip it from the flat sides with pliars, I was using alot of force to pull it off and when I finally did, it pretty much ruined the stock buttons the SE came with (though not a big deal since I was gonna throw them away anyway).
I wented up breaking the metal part in half from too much force. Anyone know if there is a replacement disconnector I can order to fix it? Right now, I temporary fixed the problem by switching the broken disconnector set with the L2 sets (the one that broke was the triangle button.
Also not sure about anyone else, but I screwed back in the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT-SK joystick in the same direction as the stock one, but found the directions were off by 90 degrees (left direction moved things down, down direction moved things right ect.) I fixed this by just re-screwing the joystick rotated, not sure if I messed it up previously, but that was someone I noticed that I didnāt catch from the tutorial.
No it isnāt a conductor. The rubber-ish glue they use for the harness though may gum shiz up if you are trying to use it with a JLF. It almost seemed like they coated the pins with glue or something and then stuck it in :bluu:
does the ball top from the SE joystick fit on top of the Sanwa stick?
Yes it does.
im having trouble removing the restrictor plate any easy ways to do this?
So has a tutorial surfaced yet to mod a **PS3 **SE/TE stick to work on 360?
I had to use a dremel. I ended up drilling the screws because I stripped 3/4 which was the easiest way for me. Whatever you do donāt bend up your restrictor plate because it wonāt mount right when you put the new stick in. I posted the screw sizes a couple of pages back so you can replace themā¦
hope this helps
iām in the middle of doing this mod right now.
Iāve tried searching for this but cant find anything, whatās the difference between the Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y and JLF-TP-8YT ?
Not that I noticed when i looked at themā¦but I went with Seimitsu LS-32-01 because those were availableā¦
The position of the mocroswith. If you get the 8YT you can just pop the restrictor off and turn it.
Edit: :u: Beat me to it, but I think itās the 8Y you need to rotate if your gonna use it on the SE.
Ah so really it doesnāt matter which one I get right, apart from rotating the PCB thing. Do they both come with Octagonal gates? Also since Im in the right thread, I heard some people had to dremil the āclippy bitsā on the Sanwa OBSF30 buttons so they fit in the SE? Is this true?
Here the dude says use the Screw In buttons instead

⦠Im confused
:u: None of the sticks come with octagon gates, you have to buy it. Yeah you can either dremil it or file it down. Or you can just use your palm and put your weight to snap it in.
You can use screw in buttons if you want, but the button close to the joystick will have a hard time fitting in without a little modification. Use snap-ins if you donāt want to deal with that or donāt know how.
Thanks Sileghty, will order my parts and let you guys know how I get on
I got my SE stick today from Amazon UK and it looks second hand, bits and dust on the artwork aswell as some selofane sticking out the bottom (looks like its been opened). Thats the whole reason Iām modding mine.
One more question, is the stock SE stick meant to so flimsy? Im flicking the stick around and it seem loose. My Hori EX2 stick is more sturdy than this.
:u: What do you mean it feels flimsy?
