3/4 of my screws screwed in perfectly into the mounting plate of my JLF. 1 for some reason seems to be ‘loose’?
Where do you guys get your JLF-TP-8YT-SK? Lizard and Aki aren’t selling them at the moment because of shortages.
It seems the joystick has no threading for the screw to catch, just seems smooth. I can literally just drop the screw in the hole and it falls right in. Defective I guess? Just my luck, as usual.
There are wrong screws…? I just used the ones from my SE joystick.
Either wrong screws, or the JLF has no threading for the screws to screw INTO. Can’t use the screws from the SE because they’re all awesomely stripped.
Like I said, the screws literally drop into the holes without having to screw anything, so obviously they fall right out just as easily. GG
same thing happened to me, that’s why I replace them with theses…

and grafik, you should try odering JLF from Laugh http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=174859
haha, coincidentally I have those exact same light switches…I’m going to give it a try.
Awesome! You are a modern day MacGyver. Screwed in just right…amazing, and maddening at the same time. Cheated on 4 screws!
Now to figure out exactly what size screws those are and where to buy them to replace the screwless light switch panels, haha.
Thanks, man!
Madcatz wiring harness
Anybody have a madcatz wiring harness that is extra (perhaps you replaced it with sanwa harness)? I think I may need a new one with the plastic clamps I dont want my first soldering experience to be on my stick!!! I’m willing to paypal you for one please send picture if you do thanks!!
gauge on the screws? cause im waiting for my JLF for the SE.
No problem.
I think its the 1/4" 7mm one.

thanks buddy!
Hey guys i recently modded my stick with a sanwa JLF-TP-8YT-SK and im still having issues. For the most part the stick works beautifully, so much better than the stock stick. On the other hand i can hold down for a few seconds and it’ll start jumping for no reason. Or sometimes i’ll move forward/back and release, and my char will keep moving in that direction for a few seconds almost like lag.
Its really annoying since i had to wait a month n a half for the parts to come and now its STILL giving me problems… Sigh…
So if anyone can help me i’d greatly appreciate it
I just recieved my order from AkihabaraShop.jp which included JLF-TP-8YT and 8 OBSF-30. The buttons are working perfectly but the stick isn’t. Down and back are working but up and forward arn’t. Any idea on what it could be or is it just a defective stick?
Both of you need to check your cables. Apparently the harness needs to be super tight.
Is it possible to wire home to the back button? SF4 doesn’t use the back button and I doubt it’ll be used in other fighters. I really want to remove the control panel.
Thanks for the advice but didn’t fix it, any other ideas?
Maybe try flipping the wire upside down and trying it plug that way. You either plugged it in the wrong way or the wire must be bad or the joystick’s pins are bad.
anyone else having a hell of a time getting the wires off the damn buttons? I don’t wanna pull too hard but the thing just won’t budge, did they just slip off for anyone one or are they suppose to pretty much be glued on there. should I just yank with all my might? will it damage the wire?
Hold the metal parts and not the wires, try to put alittle might into it. Once you get one out, you’ll know how easy it is.
