The how to mod your SFIV SE Fightstick FAQ

great thread…lots of good info in here

now i bought one of these sticks and i want to mod it, but i hear this stick can have alot of problems when its out of the box…would modding it and replacing the stick and buttons fix the potential problems that are talked about in this thread?

Correct.

thanks

do u (or anyone) know if i should order microswitches (SW-68) or is that alraedy in the stick?

thanks

Hmmm looks like my SE Fightstick just cleared customs in Australia; should be receiving it on Tuesday (not Monday because of the Easter long weekend) or Wednesday. My parts from Aki should be arriving around the same time too. (And in non-srk relation, my new iphone case should be arriving then too lol).

cool

For the SE stick Start/Select buttons, can I replace them with OBSF-24?

Decon you can do it but it requires drilling larger holes.

Ok thanks, I won’t bother replacing the select/start buttons then.

anyone interested in buying a pre-modded fightstick se with full sanwa for xbox 360?

I was thinking of purchasing some OBSN buttons, I was wondering if it would work for an SE?

They fit but one of the buttons near the joystick will not screw in properly unless you file the mounting nut down a little bit due to the area where you screw in the mounting plate from the joystick.

I am having trouble removing the wiring harness shown in this image

does it take alot of force? I am afraid of damaging it. thank you

can someone post a full step by step walkthrough of mounting the ls-32-01? I’ve read different things bout repositioning the mounting plate and pcb and such but not quite sure exactly how to do it step by step. For those who have modded the SE stick with the ls-32-01 successfully, please post. thanks!

just wiggle it has some glue stuff on it. but as you do that and wiggle it should come out slowly

well i managed to mix up my Madcatz spring with my Sanwa spring…

any takers?

one spring is shinier than the other…

anyone mind checking their sanwa vs the shitty madcatz SE spring?

THANKS A BUNCH!

edit: one is a hair smaller than the other…

Has anyone gone as far as to painting their SE?

its easy, use vinyl dye or krylon Fusion

and there are lots of people who have painted them

yeap i did it on the madcatz stick for practise
the micro switches are easy to take off, the square restrictor was a NIGHTMARE!

if your careful and take your time its very easy

ooo also the e-clip is near impossible to take off too cause its really shitty and the madcats shaft is weird.

anyone want to help me with my spring issue? i mixed up the sanwa and the madcatz one!! help ME!

can you compare the madcats to the sanwa?

one is smaller than the other, one is shinier than the other…

cheers bud
