The how to mod your SFIV SE Fightstick FAQ

Punch if you put Sanwa parts in it, that extra stick would sell for even more than an unmodified one, I bet.

Same thing happened to me…I used 6-32x1/4" flat head screws from Radio Shack. They come in an assortment pack for about 2 bucks (you get 16 of this size among other longer variations). The part# at Radio Shack is 64-3012. ~peace~

Probably would go for 200 or more.

Regular SE’s are selling for 150-170 on Ebay. A fully Sanwa/Seimitsu SE would probably go for much, MUCH more.

I’ve seen the TE. I actually prefer my SE with it’s full Seimitsu goodness. The smaller size makes it a more comfortable stick overall imo. It’s endearing in its quality.

Been just about a week and a half since I placed my order on Lizard Lick. Still anxiously awaiting an email.

I wanna get new parts in there so bad! My stock Mad Catz stick is so loose. I can’t wait to get some high quality buttons at my fingertips…

Patience is a virtue. But man am I sorely lacking :clown:

Thought I would throw this here instead of making a new thread.

My local game store has a PS3 stick that probably isn’t going anywhere. I don’t have a PS3 but I imagine it wouldn’t be too bad to hook up a 360 PCB to it. My question is how much wiggle room would you have in the case if the existing PCB(s) were removed? Could a PS1 DS and 360 PCB be wedged in there along with a Seimitsu stick? Too ambitious?

Is that accurate? In that case I could just sell the thing and buy a HRAP 2. Think anyone would trade one for one of these?

Good question. The people buying sticks for that kind of price probably don’t HAVE any HRAP’s to be trading though.

Using Sei. parts I just need the stick and buttons not a mounting plate correct? ls32-01 stick and ps14-kn buttons is all I need for the mod?

No, you’ll need the S bracket mounting plate. If you order a LS-32-01 from LL or Akihabarashop, they come with the mounting plate you need.

Good point. They’re probably using it on their PS3 via a converter. I may just pick up the SE and go be a troll on eBay. I would probably use the thing if it was the 360 version.

I’ll just restate the other question then. For anyone who has poked around with this stick, would there be enough room for a PS1 and 360 PCB if the original PCBs were removed? I just want a case that can take a LS-32 without hacking it to bits.

Thanks! I wasn’t sure about this.

hey im new, Ordered a SE stick of the Bay at a dumb price, but i’m impatient as hell, ordered new Stick and Buttom from Lizards as well, ive torn apart 360s and p2s’s for a few years now, so hopefully this wont be to challenging, you guys seem like a great bunch glad to be apart of this community

Hey guys I’m having a little bit of a hard time getting the square restrictor plate off so that I can glue the washer.

Use a flathead screwdriver and kinda wedge it in there. The square restrictor plate is freaking hard to take off the stock joystick; you gotta put some effort into it.

How do you add led lights?

It’s on the first page of Tech Talk, you could have at least skimmed the page first…

Thanks a lot to Sileighty and LordofUltima for the tutorials, I was able to mod my SE stick with no problems.

Thanks guys!!!

Thanks, was messing around with it for abotu 2 hours total before it finally came off. The board wasnt scratched up, but the washer was popping up so I glued it down. Thing is I used a little to much glue and the stick froze lol, but got it free again. Gotta tell you though, my fingers felt raw after finally finishing it. Hope it is easier to pull off when I order and get in the sanwa stick and switch out the plates.

Getting restrictor plates on and off the madcatz stick is close to impossible. It’s a lot easier on the Sanwa stick.

Just wanted to know if I would have to change the microswitches/pcb because I have barely any response when pressing left on my Madcatz SE stick. I already ordered a new joystick and some sanwa parts from LL and waiting from them patiently. I’m sure someone made a post about this but I can’t seem to find it… thanks in advance.
