Can someone show me how to change out the restrictor plate on a sanwa JL stick to an octagonal one?

See the 4 black tabs on each side of the gate? Push those in. Pull the gate off. To put another on, just snap in place. Easy.

How do we fix it if we want to keep the stick but the down is pressing to easily. (requires very little motion to press down I want it to take more)

To European stick owners/modders: What does Gremlinsolutions charge for Seimutsu PS-15 buttons? I’m currently browsing Arcadeshop.de and I’d like to compare the two EU sellers before I even think about getting a fightstick and even think about modding it.

I checked the first post, but it doesn’t mention if the SE fightstick can accept a LS-56 joystick. I remember seeing it somewhere, but can’t find it right now.

Does anyone know if the LS-56 fits and if there are any problems with it?

Please do, sir, I’m terribly interested in the LS-32-01 for my SE, for the shorter throw, and I’m pretty bad with handywork. 'preciate it.

Oh, and since i’m posting, i’ve been digging and digging and digging for any info on how to change the artwork, funny how the template topic has zero info on how to actually perform the swap. As in, stripping the original art, and replacing. All they have are hundreds of pics of Ryu and Cammy and them. Anyone here change their art yet? Wondering if the right way to do it would be to just place it on top of the existing picture or actually chipping off the stuff like a bumper sticker then putting the new one on.

I think a lot of people are just going the lamilabel route and putting it on top of the stock artwork. The lamilabel doesn’t add that much thickness to the top so snap-in buttons will still mount correctly.

I put in a sanwa jlf in my SE, but I think I’m going to swap back to the LS-32-01 later this afternoon. I’ll take pictures of the steps I took.

Do you find mounting the joystick w/ 2 screws is enough? I’m always paranoid that something is going to happen, and it’s usually better to have 4 screws instead of 2 holding your stick in.

I purchased the bat top converter and the bat top. I am waiting on them but how does it go on?

Okay, I’m about to order my new parts from Lizardlick, but I’m starting to really question wether or not it’s worth spending all of this money.

Everything I want is going to end up costing me $60 bucks, putting my grand total up to $140 for this stick. I could have just purchased a TE stick for that much.

Anyway, what I’m wondering is how much better these parts really are. I mean, I know the stick feels cheap out of the box, that has to go… but will $25 worth of Sanwa buttons really improve my experience that much? Really?

You’re getting a far more portable stick, and for less money. And yeah, the buttons make a pretty profound difference. I was skeptical when I first replaced my EX2 stock buttons with Sanwas, but it was so worth it.

You screw the adaptor into the bat top, and then screw the bat top onto the stick like normal. You’ll see what I’m talking about when you get it. I just got mine today and it was easy.

If you don’t think there’s anything wrong with the buttons, then there’s no need to change them out for now. Since I was used to playing on PK-14s, the moment I felt the SE buttons I knew they had to go.

How do I replace the artwork on the SE stick?

:u: Use the template. Put the artwork and print it out with lamilabel at Kinko’s and stick it over the existing artwork. There’s prob other ways to do it but that’s how I’m gonna try to do mine.

well after aweek of debating i finaaly opened the SE. so far no major issues… the stick is starting to feel really loose… also harder to pull moves when on the left side, buttons are ok…

how is the feel between the jlf vs ls-32? the SE feels to loose… i see that you can do the mod to the jlf to stiffen the feel… but if the ls-32 is already stiff out the box that would be better imo…

help… what is the differnce on the feel/ throw? i want a stiffer feel and if throw is diffrent i want shorter throw…
