so would you reposition the light blue gate or the dark blue gate for octagonal movement?
I replaced the stick and buttons on my POS SE and itās like a whole new stick, man that was so worth it.
Funny thing is the metal washer on the JLF is also loose/not secure and rides up if you move the stick with the pcb/switches off (with the pcb on it never rises), someone please tell me thatās the way itās supposed to be, because that was one of the huge issues with the stock stickā¦
Nice, Kimcicle. Are you going to change the artwork? Thatād take care of the 2 empty buttonholesā¦
I plan to do a Seimitsu mod myself very soon.
Hey Spark, no that washer should stay fixed in the groove. Swap it or should be easy enuf to glue the washer down.
Since somebody requested it, once my parts get in from Lizard Lick, I will make a youtube video detailing everything necessary to mod the stick with the JLF and sanwa push buttons on the SE. I ordered them on the 17th, so here is to hoping they get here soon!
Well looks like everyone got the whole modding thing down so no need for a vid. Was thinking about providing one for the community after cutting my thumb thru the process. (Yeahā¦ really. ) Parts should be here soon and provided I get my camera back, Iāll show some Seimitsu :lovin:
Any thoughts on how to truly plug the extra button holes with new artwork without putting your finger through it accidentally? Also would the lack of those two buttons hinder menu navigation?
Was also thinking of adding a sheet of lexan to shield the artwork would the curve of the sticks surface make that impossible?
Thanks in advance.
Hey guys, Iāve asked this before but havenāt seen an answer yet, does anyone know if the Seimitsu PS-14-G buttons work in the SE?
In this game yes. You actually have to pick what you donāt want. The main buttons you need are the face buttons on each standard controller. The shoulder buttons have minor functions such as scrolling through leaderboards or changing your icons in the game match screen. Neither is necessary, but it would be a good idea to find the functions for all the buttons before you start omitting stuff.
Just noticed in the settings you need just the right trigger and right bumper to scroll through all the setting. You canāt scroll back but you can scroll all the way through. So having right bumper and trigger mapped instead of a right bumper and a left bumper works out better.
Itās a possibility in the future. However, navigation for some of the menus in SF4 isnāt easy without LB / LT (User title immediately springs to mind, I donāt want to be āFull of Beansā anymore!), so I might put in the MadCatz buttons back.
I donāt see why not.
You know Iām thinking of getting two of these SDM-18 Pushbutton
And putting two 18mm holes on the side of the case just to have access to all buttons. I refuse to have 8 up top though.
I want to mod up my SE stick too but the parts from lizardlick are taking a while to ship. I find the SE stick to be kinda loose. I need something more tight with a bat top!
Get the sanwa stick order the bat top and do the spring mod.
All I need is a screwdriver, really ?
:u: Nah, Iām a liar.
Anyone know how easy (or difficult) it is to swap out the SE back/start buttons for something like the 18mm ones? Or whatever size would be easiest?
If itās going to be a pain I just wonāt bother, but if itās easy I figure itād be nice to have.
Iāve never modded a stick, Iām just surprised itās that simple. Thanks for the tutorial btw, Iāll probably use it.
More vids the better! Vids are always appreciated :lovin: I ordered another SE and Iād like to make it all Seimitsu.
Iāll update my SE stick with sanwa parts when the time comes, good informative tuturiol on how to do it Sileightyā¦good job man. :nunchuck:
Btw mods, please sticky this thread.
