Wow⌠that really sucks
Are there any other companies that make quality concave parts? I was going with Seitmitsu because I hear theyâre flatter than Sanwa
Iâve watched this vid before, but it just gave me an idea on how to actually use the wiring harness that comes with the JLF. I hope it works! Canât wait for the parts to come. Iâm pretty desperate so if this doesnât work Iâll just buy another SE. It appears the harness does use stranded wire http://lizardlick.com/images/for_sale/joysticks/jlf_tp_8t.jpg so Iâm hoping the trick works.
This is what I did, I couldnât find any concave parts that would fit.
Nah, you donât have to buy an octagon gate, itâs completely optional. The JLF will come with standard with a square gate.
Awesome! EXACTLY what I needed.
Just to clear up everyones questions about rotating the PCB. If you end up buying the 8T instead of the 8YT, you MUST rotate it in order for the orientations to be correct. The orientation of the pin connector relative to the PCB/microswitches is the same for both the 8T and 8YT, they are just mounted differently.
The PCBâs for 8T and 8YT are the exact SAME, just mounted differently.
In other words, if you buy the 8T and somehow successfully mounted it without rotating the PCB, then your orientations will be all wrong. You must rotate it in order for it be correct.
Please correct me if Iâm wrong.
Quick question (Not very experienced on the matter).
I purchased the Seimitsu LS-32-01 Joystick from Lizard Lick because I thought it was an octagonal gate (for whatever reason I canât play on square, period).
Is there another Joystick and/or gate that I can switch that fits the SE stick that is octagonal?
Thanks.
Yup, the Sanwa GT-Y Octagonal Restrictor Plate will work.
Sorry, I thought you were asking for the SE stick still.
To be completely honest I am not sure if the restrictor plate will work for the Seimitsu stick.
bows head in shame
I wouldnt count on it. The only seimitzu stick that lets you switch out a gate from square to octaganol is the LS-56. To my knowledge all other seimitsu sticks only have the gates they come equipped with.
Hey, just another guy sending his thanks to the TC for posting this info. I couldnât find a TE, but I did manage to track down the last SE at Gamecrazy. Now all I need to worry about is stripping the screws and/or messing some internal components up, since I seen to be particularly good at that. -_-
Ah, hehe, bit of a misunderstanding - no big deal!
Well, perhaps Iâll change my order to a Sanwa stick if thatâs the case.
Thatâs what I ended up ordering, a Sanwa stick with the Octagonal plate, and eight Sanwa buttons. LizardLick is a little behind on orders so my order should come in next week.
Hope it works out for you!
Hey everybody, just letting everyone know that Iâll update the FAQ this weekend with a lot of the stuff everyoneâs been talking about for the past so many pages.
Excellent, thanks. Itâs the first time I ever tried modding a stick. Any advice on replacing my busted 5-pin connector of the joystick to the PCB with the JLF wiring harness would be awesome.
Wow! Thanks a lot for your help
will post new pics tomorrow
Success!
Thanks for the FAQ it really helped
No problems really except i was pulling the QD connectors off with my fingers and shredding them a bit till i went and got the needle nose pliersâŚ
Was pretty easy though, and you can definitely tell the quality difference in just holding the Madcatz/Sanwa parts in your hands and looking at them.
The lack of Seimitsu love in this thread makes me sad.

Seimitsu LS-32-01 / 6x PS-14-K-N
Only took me about an hour tops. The only nut that gave me an issue was the one closest to the mounting brakets, and that took only about a min of sanding to fit. The S mounting bracket for the LS-32-01 had to be rotated, and I took off the microswitches so that I could mount the bracket w/ 4 screws at the corners instead of just 2 in the middle. Plugged LB / LT because who needs 8 buttons anyways.
I was pleasantly surprised to see the plastic sheaths on the quick disconnects; a very nice touch.
