That sounds like a badass porn…I’ll have to check it out this weekend.
Aww Yiss I got
Motha
Fuckin’
Kill List.
This gonna be a good night.
Was out of power the last two days and watched a bunch of Horror and Sci-fi: My Bloody Valentine (OG Uncut, and Remake), Magic, Predator 1 & 2, Alien and Aliens, Terminator-Terminator 2- and Salvation. Also some G1 Transfomers because fuck you that’s cool as hell.
If you guys can find it, get the special edition AKA uncut My Bloody Valentine original film/ They add 15 minutes of restored uncut scenes you can watch separately or with the film and it’s fantastic. Pretty underrated Horror flick during the Slasher boom, it’s a lot of fun.
I think you’re going to like Kill List, AYO
Anyway, didnt get to watch it last night due to internet being stupid, but yeah, Down aka The Shaft on YT
plot summary
[details=Spoiler]Plot summary
When several people die unexpectedly in an express elevator in a New York City landmark called the Millennium Building, everyone, at first, thinks it is a technical problem. But when repairmen repeatedly cannot find any problems with the elevator, it is clear that something else is at work.
A tabloid investigative journalist (Naomi Watts) and an elevator mechanic (James Marshall) seek to get to the bottom of what’s causing the deaths, as officials try to play down the incidents and the government investigates them as terrorist attacks.
The duo eventually discover that the elevators indeed have a life of their own.[/details]

That looks pretty interesting.
Watched the F13 remake again, I still think it’s one of the more faithful remakes done from Hollywood. Plus it has Sam versus Jason, the fanboy in me enjoys this.
Watching Kill List tomorrow along with a couple of other films.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D trailer is out, looks ok I guess.
i think i must be one of the few people that prefer predator 2, i’ve seen that film so many times now and i still dont get bored watching it.
Seriously though if your into sci fi/horror galaxy of terror is as good as it gets, i watched it again a few days ago, if you dont enjoy the movie at least you’ll enjoy the alien metaphorical dickslapping to death of one of the female crew members
I own it, and most of the Corman classic line. They are fun if not all that great, the history behind the films is often a lot better than the product itself.
Predator 2 is fine, I watch it every now and then, but I will never accept that out of shape Danny Glover can take down a Predator, shit’s not right. Telling me something that took Arnold Schrawzenegger to the limits can be bested by an out of shape cop with an issue closing his mouth? Nu-uh, no sir.
I don’t think it would be much of an issue if he wasn’t holding his own and winning hand to hand fights.
I thought Session 9 was a great film, it’s an example of exactly my kind of horror. A focus on character study and ambiguity to make the film unnerve me and make me feel uncomfortable rather than shock the senses outright on a more primal level, although there is some of that too.
ending
Spoiler
Simon isn’t definitively an alter ego of Mary, there is probably more evidence supporting the interpretation that Simon is a spirit who possesses people when they are at their most vulnerable psychologically. The real horror in Session 9 is that if Simon is a spirit which he probably is it means he didn’t outright control the actions of Mary and Gordon to murder they willingly submitted to him.
:china:
Just what I think too.
Spoiler
Some sort of demon and or Evil Spirit. That influences the hurt & weak minded.
After figuring out how to get all in app purchases free I got The Walking Dead episodes on my iPad. Really fun definitely worth paying for.
Just saw the red band trailer for Sinister, looks scary

Sinister actually does look cool, I don’t know why, but early reviews/previews for it have been positive.
Saw Cabin in the Woods finally, already in my top 10 favorites. After watching it I went back and watched it again immediately. That film was fun as fuck and the tongue in cheek bashing of the overuse on Torture Porn was clever. I’d love to see a number of prequels for it.
Also watched Exit Humanity which got added to Netflix recently, Bloody Disgusting selects title. Former Confederate Soldier finds his wife dead and zombified with his son missing after a two day hunting trip. departing to look for said son. I thought it would be really typical, but it kind of takes on a more untalented David Lynch kind of setting that I really didn’t expect. I do feel it dragged on way to much, and that the budget didn’t help the script (Any scene that would otherwise be a money shot in a major film was replaced with animation, nice looking animation, but regardless it seemed like a cop out). Also the story drags on and the once unique setting and story kind of devolve into similar territory mid-way through. I did like it though and found it a nice surprise.
Going to see DREDD tonight and watch the Law murder some unlawful people with Justice.
So me and my wife have watched a lot on this list. We will be watching Kill List and V/H/S tonight, and are looking for others to see.
A short list of movies we have seen and liked:
Eden Lake
The Loved Ones
Martyrs
Let the Right One In
REC 1+2
Grave Encounters (she liked it more than me)
I Saw The Devil
Acolytes
Cabin In the Woods
We are looking for more stuff to watch. I already have the first two Hellraiser movies on instant que in Netflix (she has been wanting to see them fro a while). So any suggestions would be great.
I watched Kill List and V/H/S the other day (along with [REC] 3 Genesis). I liked all of them, but Rec 3 was kind of corny to me. I wonder if anyone on here has seen a Serbian Film? I could only watch it once, but there are a lot of movies that gross me out, but that one topped the list. I really don’t recommend it to anyone, but it is one of those movies that if you can actually watch it all the way through, you are a tough cookie. I am looking for more horror movies now, trying to stock up on them, and see some new stuff.
Also I started reading the Hellraiser comics (the 2011 ones) and wondered if there are any issues past 5? because those are all I could find online. If anyone has any good recommendations for online comics, please let me know.
By the time I saw A Serbian Film, I was already (kinda) desensitized so the violence in that movie wasnt as shocking/scary, but I think that movie was pretty well made and after getting past the shock violence, good discussions can come out of it.
As desensitized as I am, only in case of “fake” violence… real ones still can fuck me up…
Anyway, saw Bait the other day… lol shouldve watched Dredd instead

ah a friend recommended this to me, like 4 years ago… this one based on a short story “turn of the screw” or something, right?

That’s what wiki says, yep. The direction, cinematography (now on blu-ray) and casting are all superb in the film. Late period Joan Crawford is quite interesting too.
If we’re talking modern, extreme visceral horror, you’d be hard-pressed to top this:
Strictly not suitable for minors or the mentally frayed.
Martyrs was rough (the flaying scene was almost too much). But I wasn’t really grossed out by it. VHS had some moments, but then you have Frontiers or Farm House (with the cheese grater scene).
A Serbian Film left me

YEAH!
Dredd was awesome!
Unfortunately it came out in a year with a very similar film that SRK loves (The Raid) but it’s not “as” over the top and is paced better I think, very much sticking to the comic roots and has a nice Neo-Noir feel you don’t see often enough. Also didn’t skimp on the violence, and the soundtrack I want.
Seriously see it, like now, right now. Judge the hell out of stuff. I hope it does well enough to warrant a sequel, theater I was in on a Saturday night only had like 12-15 people.
Sinister Red Band trailer convinced me that this should be a sleeper Horror hit this year, and not a typical Hollywood Horror film that’s usually pumped out around this time. At least I hope so, it has a lot of potential.
