Probably one of my favorite horror movie “monsters” ever, easily.
The best part about it? There’s almost no explanation given for it.
Kind of like The Thing.
Actually, a lot of like The Thing in a couple of ways.
Yeah I know Bloody Disgusting gave it rave reviews. I plan on seeing it soon, I just can’t really find a place that is showing the movie.
When it’s a new monster type, I really don’t like it to have an explanation or origin.
Could someone who isn’t the usual pussy weakling movie teenager have done something about it, like armed up and killed it or is it invincible? It seems like people in horror movies are always only concerned with running. Shit almost never happens to people who can protect themselves, and if it DOES, it’s always SWARMS of monsters instead of just one. I’d be trying to off whatever was coming after me if it’s on a one-on-one basis.
1: Get someplace where you can see it coming from a long way off, like a mall parking lot and chill until you see the thing walking your way
2: crank dat playlist (KMFDM’s Ultra, Sick Puppies’ You’re Going Down, Disturbed’s Down With The Sickness, Uncrowned’s Waking In White Lights, Breaking Benjamin’s Blow Me Away)
3: Start with ranged weapons (.22 hunting rifle targeting head, right knee, head, left knee alternating until 15 feet away, switch to .38 pistol double-tapping until dry while walking back towards, toss pistol)
4: Go for melee (machete, then dual kukri…if I’m still alive). If it gets me after that, it’s earned it.
And whatever lone innocent shows up…well, that’s just tough. Might’ve been the thing. Taking no chances. I’m assuming it can’t talk, so I would try to communicate before step 2, though…but I’m not sacrificing that distance advantage.
