Eli Roth said in a recent interview that Clown is a lock for 2015 and Green Inferno is all but certain to be back on track for next year as well, here’s hoping.
Just watched Tusk, not awful, but not good either. I guess my mistake was going in expecting The Human Centipede but with a walrus instead, problem is this movie isn’t nearly as dark, is poorly paced, and they took the transformation into comedic territory.
What I got from it was that the monster was a manifestation/metaphor of the mother’s Sorrow or Grief over the loss of her husband. That’s why after she finally faces it, it goes into the basement and lives there where all her husband’s belongings are. The feeding of it symbolizes that it’s (the emotions) still there, but she has control over it (them).
I’ve seen Nightbreed before. I just haven’t seen the Directors Cut. I alway thought Dr. Decker was an underrated villain in the horror realm. I mean his whole character was beyond creepy and he had a very unique look. That charisma though.
Got to meet the entire main cast of Dawn of the Dead along with Romero and Tom Savini today at a convention. It was pretty amazing. I spent way too much money for them to all sign my Ultimate Edition DVD.
Watched The Voices last night. Pretty good dark comedy film. Kinda like American Psycho except instead of a crazed, perverted yuppie we have a naive, not all there man child who comes off almost as the jar jar binks of serial killers. Was a fresh role to see Ryan Reynolds in.
