The Horror Thread: Talk all things macabre

New Green Inferno trailer. Me and the woman are psyched for this one.

I gotta say, in a world of found footage and mumblegore and rob zombie/adam green/danielle harris dreck, I really do have to hand it to Eli Roth for actually making good, real horror movies.

Gonna’ check out Green Inferno because I love Italian Cannibal flicks and Roth is a huge Italo Horror fanboy. I’m not a big fan of Cabin Fever (the sequels are better) but I thought Hostel 1 and 2 were pretty good.

Not related to Roth but I thought this was one of the best original horror films to come out in recent.

How can a movie with the title “Porno Holocaust” be so boring?

Erotic Nights of the Living Dead is better.

Have you seen that four hour documentary on the Elm Street series? I turned it on while I was cleaning up my place yesterday, it’s pretty in depth. Highly recommended if you’re a fan.

I also watched Come Out and Play. I liked it, but I couldn’t help but laugh at seeing a grown man beating the fuck out of an eight year old with a boat oar.

What is it about shit zombie movies that are endlessly amusing?

That one had some full frontal in it too, as I recall.

I started that movie up and fell asleep in the beginning(just cause I was really tired)

Idk wtf this movie did to me while I was sleep but I had the most fucked up sequence of dreams and shit

Now that im awake im actually watch it now tho, but shit.

Muholland Drive did the same thing for me.

As if Hellraiser without Doug Ramsey wasn’t bad enough, I can’t believe they’ve made a Leprechaun without Warwick Davis. I will be boycotting.

It did the exact same thing to me, dude! Not even lying. I’ma watch it here in a bit.

Just like anytime I try to play FFVII. Best sleep inducer.

Well, Beyond the Black Rainbow is obviously going for that fever dream quality and is very successful at it. Visually it’s one of the most beautiful Horror films since the heyday of Italian Horror.

Beyond Dat Rainbow made no god damn sense to me when I watched it, like reading Final Crisis.

Going to have to scope it again.

You preaching to the choir. If you were to say FFVI, on the other hand…

I didn’t even know it was a horror film. I just heard a lot of really good things about it and it’s sci-fi qualities.

It’s more of a Sci Fi/Arthouse/Horror film.

Actually, this is NOT the sort of thing I need to be watching while trying to stay awake. I’ma check this out at home.

Beyond the black rainbow tripped me the fuck out. Is that what being on shrooms feels like?

so, they’re rebooting Leprechaun (really?).

And this is him now:
