Weird. They (along with a personal reference pic of the stock wiring) suddenly all vanished from my imgur account. Hereâs to hoping that doesnât happen again.
I forgot to mention that this is by far worth the money and @âJasen Hicksâ has done an awesome job on the ease of installation (hence the name I guess :)). To be honest, if thereâs anyone that is thinking of modding their VLX with a UFB, this item is an absolute must and for $24.95 USD, you cannot buy more value for money.
To do a UFB mod will take at least an hour depending on how particular you want to be and on the VLX, I wouldnât even know where to start with the touchpad ribbon, the amount of time Iâd spend researching or finding out pins would easily past 1 hour and I havenât even gotten the soldering iron out!
This installation took me a mere 10-15 minutes (no joke) and Iâll gladly spend 25USD again for another installation, the level of effort is so minimal, but the time of install is far more value to modders out there. Love it! Iâm very tempted by the TE2 EZ Mod (have to get a TE2 first though :))
Canât see the pics but I can only imagine it looks awesome! I was completely flabbergasted when I saw @RageousX art. Especially for a Hitbox user/player as most custom art are catered/created for/by stick users. If it wasnât for @âJasen Hicksâ custom panel, I would have probably sold my VLX and picked up an official Hitbox controller again. Now Iâm waiting on my silencers and my controller will be 100% complete!
Mine. This is the one with the non functional PCB. I dunno what the issue is. **If any one that has replaced the stock PCB with a Brook UFB is willing to sell the stock PCB, please let me know. **
I replaced the buttons with Gamerfinger crystal buttons and popped in some Razer orange switches, they feel amazing. The clear buttons blend in well with the mirror finish and makes the hexagon shape a lot less annoying to look at, they actually look really nice.
Nope. I havent touched the main board at all. I wanted to keep this one stock (innards wise) since I play exclusively on PS4 at home and own several other sticks that I can use as travel sticks.
I purchased the EZ Mod from Jasen since his shop will be closed for a while, since it looks like iâll have to go the UFB route but again, iâd rather use the original pcb (even with the most delay of all other pcbâs. I really hate that Teyah thread).
That Teyah thread is not reliable, I wouldnât put any weight or reliability with itâs results. Trust me, it almost skewed my decsion into purchasing a TE2 but I was reassured by felllow members in this forum. Not worth it!
Iâve been trying to work out what colour OBSF-30 buttons the original Red Vewlix cabinet has⌠is it Dark Red or the Vermilion colour? I want to replace the Hayabusaâs with Sanwaâs and Iâm trying to determine the colour. Photos look like itâs the vermilion colour, but it seems logical that itâs the dark red colour.
i think dark red is safest, whilst some photos suggest its vermillion (eg. http://vewlix.de/cvew2.jpg), it looks orange on focus attack and iâve ppl say the vermillion buttons look orange in person
the sanwa red buttons are much more saturated than the side panels. I only have a vermillion balltop to compare with, but that one is closer to the red of the side panels. The vermillion balltop is a bit more toward to orange hue compared to the side panels but it is definitely a close match than the red buttons
