I have some Vermillion buttons at home - theyāre definitely red, but a very bright pure RGB red. Horiās aesthetic definitely trends towards the Dark Red buttons from what Iāve seen.
My GF installed the ezmod + brook that I did in my video into a customerās stick at WCW in about 10 minutes. If you fuck up this install, please donate your VLX

I fucked this up part of the install by ordering my UFB at 2AM and not paying any fucking attention when I selected, āAdd soldered headersā at Paradise Arcade Shop. Oops. (Yes Jasen, that was me; oops. thanks for answering a late night email about this).
I didnāt even have the board in my hand when I fucked it up.
side note: I tried desoldering the headers but didnāt realize until it was too late that my tip was way too big. I kind of made a mess out of things. I picked up a much thinner soldering iron tip, so I think Iām going to try desoldering it and starting all over when I can focus and really do a proper job of it.
Speaking of that ill fated journey into modding, I also picked up a Khameleon(which, really is the point of this mod; so I can drive LEDs). Iām planning on building a ribbon cable and separating it out and plugging it into the screw terminals on a UFB. The 20pin connector between the EZMod and the screw terminals are identical points, Iām assuming? My multimeter has gone missing and so I havenāt been able to do a proper continuity test.
Ouch! De-soldering those headers is going to be a complete PITA!

@mR_CaESaR went digging through the old posts cos i couldāve sworn i saw a photo (page 26) and yeah might be best to ask @singlongkuen which colours he went with and how close it was to the vewlix c. looks like dark red
Iāll probably get Dark Red going from Jasenās comment about the Hayabusa print out I got from him.
Who would you guys recommend to commission to do artwork for the VLX? I just want the stock art in red like the PS3 version. I contacted 2 guys Jasen recommended but didnt get a response. I want to order my panel but need art 
Will the Khameleon even mount onto the VLX?
Not really. But using the 20P IDC and clipping an end to put in the screw terminals of the UFB would work fine. Using some tall PCB sticky feet standoffs would help mount it as well. Still no destruction of the stock wiring, but does require opening the stick to reprogram.
In theory if I spliced together a USB B to Mini A cable it could work
