It could be repaired but it require alots of epoxy and maybe a really good paint job (to hide the epoxy).
Normally i wouldnt consider buying a stick with such damage, its only because its a diamond that iām tempted.
My first thought was to simply weld it on the inside so the gap is closed and then live with the fact that theres a crack visible when you look at the back of the stick.
The stick is in Paris but i have a friend who lives and works there who could pick it up for me, then bring it to me next time he comes home.
Maybe you can get a lower price/deal⦠I mean it is damaged.
Possibly. Iāll drop him a msg

contact Hori and see if they would sell you a VLX side panel. I donāt think they do such things but its worth contacting them. Obviously they donāt make the Diamond panels anymore so any side panel you get wouldnāt be the proper color, but its worth a shot and wouldnāt hurt to try.
I highly doubt they would do any spare parts. My friendās vlx door has some broken tabs which caused the door to no longer stay closed so he contacted hori for a new door black door which they should have alot of. But they wont even provide that as a spare part so side panels are definitely out of the question.
Hori couldnāt even send me thumbscrews!
Backstory: Owned and played a Hitbox for four years. Sold it and bought a VLX. I tried to transition to a stick but felt my execution wasnāt quick and lacked precision. I also have a difficult time performing double QCF motions especially on the P1 side. Fortunately I was able to transform my VLX into a āHitboxā with special thanks to:
@āJasen Hicksā for the amazing replacement panel and vinyl print out/application. Your attention to detail and the quality of materials used is unparalleled. @RageousX for the artwork of my dreams(Iāve always like my stuff plain and simple). @Vicko for the plug-and-play solder free SOCD cleaner(see pic below!)

Just looked at assembly and unfortunate for plastic door w/plastic hinges and plastic door posts. An all metal assembly would of been a better service for the premium prices. 3D printing oppurtunity for door replacements and metal post replacements though.
@Jannodude OMG!!! That looks AWESOME!!
I want that artwork but for the 6 button layout!
I might be PMāing a few people about this
The PSD is linked in the thread I think ,but it will require some work.
All credit goes to @RageousXā¦! I envisioned having an artwork like that. He did the gruntwork and created it from scratch. I was never too fond of flashy artwork(though thereās absolutely amazing looking ones out there). The simplistic look to things appeal to me very much and when I saw that artwork, I was flabbergasted beyond belief!
@āJasen Hicksā you donāt do normal 6 button vewlix do you?
No, it has a flat/matte look to it. Jasen explains why he chose a flat/matte top over a shiny surface in the thread somewhere!
Matte>Glossy
Man, what would I give for a red Hayabusa version of that art with Jasenās 2P Astro layout⦠Man. Thatās a beautiful thing.
