So I know for dual modding youād need to use diodes but what about for something like a Kaimana setup where it adds in another PCB but doesnāt prevent the VLX PCB from sending inputs?
Got the small panels, buttons, switch, wire kit priced out. They are going to be $39.95 which includes everything (except shipping).
Small Panel replacement in Jet Black or Signal White Gloss
Wiring for all buttons and Switch with QDCs and PVC insulators (the clear ones)
4x 19mm black anodized switches (19mm)
1x Cherry 3 Way Swtitch
Iāll be getting the listing up tomorrow. Iāll have 10 complete kits and panels for $25.
Why so costly for such a small panel? Limited volume.
That should be fine as the USB connection is made up so the Kaimana wont be affected. Its only when the USB D+/- isnāt connected and the board is powered up that the signals get dragged low.
You can saw off about 2 inches of the inner support bar and itāll close to the exact width of the stick, which will still be just a little too wide for the feet, so I attached some wood to the stand and some black rubber sheet over it to make a nice little setup for my VLX.
(excuse the USF4, reusing an old pic from pg.14 in this thread, lol)
edit: Just added this to show the width of the stand from the front, same as VLX after cutting the bar.
Yeah I was looking into the Mad Catz sticks at first but then came across the VLX, and I was sold. Only thing that was holding me back is the weight (which was discussed on the previous page). Iāve said that I would jump in, but Iām doubting again, so Iāll let it sink in a few days and then I will decide.
If I would have a decent desk, I wouldāt doubt a second. Unfortunately Iām convicted to lap play.
IMO the only factor should be the inconvenience of traveling with it (e.g., in Brazil I donāt think itās possible to keep it as hand luggage in flights). Playing on the lap is perfectly ok. o.o
I orderd the VLX Hayabusa last sunday from japan, and I read just now in one padge back in this thread that this one is worse quality? how so? What did they change?
Another (final) push for the various panels Iām taking pre-orders on for the VLX. This will likely be my last run (with a few extras on hand for stragglers) of these, so if you are thinking or even just on the fence, it would be best to pull the trigger now.
If you are comfortable with it. The defects that seem to be most apparent could be fixed with some body filler and a new coat of paint on the front / top black frame.
Alright! Good now I will be able to sleep with out worry
Those things are not a problem for me, sure its a shame but I can fix it.
Yeah I saw an VLX in 2010(I think) when I just started to get in to fighting games and thought it was really cool, so canāt wait to have my own VLX now
I will use it when I game SFV at home, and use my other Hori stick for when I go and play offline at other places.
EDIT: I saw picks of it, so it will be the first time i see a VLX in person now when I get it from japan
