You could try using clear-smoke plungers and a smoke shaft cover / dust washer.
Needs more contrast for pop. Call me basic but I wouldâve gone with all white.
How smooth is the dustwasher on the aluminum JLF dustwash/shaft set? It wonât scratch the mirror finish on the VLX?
I purchased a red and blue set from Focus Attack and they are extremely smooth, not rough at all. That being said, even the plastic ones will mar the finish on the panel if the stick is used enough.
Thanks, yeah the stock JLF plastic one has small round circles with sharp edges on the bottom side of the dustwasher that I sanded down smooth, same with those transparent sets too.
I dont think those circles are too much of a problem compared to the edge of the dustwasher. I use a transparent set and the edge of the dustwasher scratches the mirror surface much more. I have a circular scuff on the mirror finish where the edge is. When I replace my metal panel and put a plexi on it i think im going to go with a metal dustwasher and put some felt pads under the dust washer to prevent it from scratching.
Line the bottom of your washers with felt.

I want to buy this one so hard, but the weight is the only thing holding me back. Iâve read in this thread that itâs uncomfy for lap play and thatâs the only way I can play. The stick is so glorious but I just canât decide wether it will be a good buy for me.

I got no issues with having the VLX in my Lap, then again I am a big guy.
It boils down to personal preference.
Itâs only 12 LBS. Lap play is doable. People joke about it because thatâs about double what most sticks weigh.
Yea lap play is not bad at all. You just need to stretch a bit after a long session and you will be good to go again.
Iâm 1.78m tall and I find the VLX Kuro very comfortable to place on my lap.
I rest it on my lap 100% of the time with no issue.
Thatâs a sad excuse, if you experience Amazon to be accurate the whole other time of the year!
