I have yet to get a shipping notificiation for mine from playasia :|. I should have ordered from arcadeshock -_-. RG buttons look exactly like regular sanwas so im sure someone will have a picture with them in. The moment I get mine though I will pretty much rip it apart for some heavy modifications.
Same here. Theyāve taken my money, but no shipping. Of course, since the stick āreleasesā on the 18th, they may not start to fill orders until then.

my only complaint is i paid extra to get it double boxed but was shipped one with a damaged box already. the shipping box itself was in good condition so i doubt it was damaged during shipping.
Sorry to hear about the damage but at least (hopefully) itās just the retail boxā¦Might as well open it up since the retail boxās already damaged, LOL!
Mine was supposed to be delivered today. Made sure I worked from home today on purpose for that very reason. Took my Mom to the airport & during that 1.5-hours I was gone, I missed the delivery, sigh. Called FedEx to tell the driver to drop it off at the local FedEx store so hopefully I can pick it up before they close tonight otherwise, itāll be tomorrow afternoon.
i know how you feel. youāre expecting a package and wait all day but the moment you have to step out for a quick second they come. post pics when you do get it!

I bought 2 DIA when they were first released from AS. I never opened it and have just kept it in its original dual shipping box. Just added the new red one so I can store both of them.
Well, I got mine today and just opened it up after getting home from work. I had hoped it would be my first VLX without any factory defects or blemishesāNOPE!
In fact, the Hayabusa VLX has one of the worst physical defects Iāve ever seen and Iām not even sure why itās there: it looks like a welding/painting issueā¦ Aside from that, just about everything else is fine, but this oneās pretty glaring since itās on the wrist rest, so itās literally the first thing you see.

Have yet to actually try out the buttons, but hereās my crappy quality photos of the stick upon arrival and removal from the box. Reeeaaaally miffed about the post holes showing up on the front of the wrist rest, which are pretty obvious when itās sitting right in front of you; it looks like something was punched too far deep on the inside. I doubt this is the sort of thing that A-S would replace for, even if they had replacements, unfortunately.
Those spots look worse than the usual weld dents on the front metal part, at least in those pics.
First good look at the new buttons and they look they have some grit to them. Wonder if they feel as good as they look.
They are the new āmatteā finish for the buttons.
The question is how long that texture reminds on the buttons.
Are they going to stay textured or worm smooth with time?

Oh yeah. Being OCD about quality and appearance, it really irks me. Iām waiting to see if anyone else has blemishes like this to find out whether itās common. If not, Iāll probably order a second one and hope itās better in that regard. Suppose Iāll try these buttons out in SFV shortly. The texture isnāt really as tactile as the appearance would have you believe; it feels like itās not even there honestly.
I wish Hori sold parts like Mad Catz doesnāt, different color sides and top panels etc.
