A standardized single player Sega Astro 1P layout has been done before in the form of the HRAP3s. However, the same canāt be said for the 2P layout. Except with the Sega Dreamcast Agetec āGreen Goblin,ā but even then it has a big space between the stick and buttons for the VMU. Jasen Hicks, you would be doing a great service to us all, restoring this otherwise kind of lost layout.
Iāll do a poll on my FB page using the WooBox App so people can vote on everything. It will make it far easier to track and get feedback since I can do a little bit better management with images and such.
Are you going to be offering vinyl art(or what ever is nice and durable) or just a metal panel?
Iāll do that as well. I was thinking of doing a āstockā bit of art printed on the new panels, but I figured folks will want some options.
As for the original. I am unsure. I donāt like trying to adapt artwork to panels i donāt make the CAD file for. It usually works OK but takes a lot of time to perfect.

My friend picked up an PS3 OG VLX and needs a PCB replacement and he wants to use his PS360+, for the share and PS button on the little āturboā area is it simple to solder just needs a ground and a signal like a normal button straight to the PS360+?

Oh ok, I guess I can split the white wire and not have to solder anything, though I was looking through the PS3 VLX thread and proper diagram photos are gone but I suppose I can trace where they go.
@āJasen Hicksā, would you consider making a Mortal Kombat panel? Or mimic Mad Catzās āVewlixedā MK panel?
Always happy to do one offs, but they come with an additional cost because of setup.
has anyone had problems with the metal panel of the stick damaging the plastic side pieces when opening/closing the stick
Mine rubs against the thin inner parts of black plastic sides when I open or close it but no damage or anything.
Some reason that sounds dirty at 12:50am.
Cheers everyone, I have finally gotten the POLL up and running to vote for a new panel to be made for these bad boys. My goal is to do one run of the most popular option and have templates available up for add-on artwork as well. As per all of my panels they will be cold rolled steel (just like the panzer) and the same thickness as the original.
