Thanks for mentioning it. I saw the stock, but there’s this message on the site:
05/01/2015: We have a small allotment in stock that was set aside for SCR 2015, but since this event is uncertain at this time, we are releasing this small quantity or until the supply runs out. After this event, we will hold the remaining sticks for #EVO2015, which is our last event of the fighting game season. So get this while you can to start playing the amazing fighting games for the PS4.
EVO is July 17-19 so I would receive it in August. That’s why I chose eBay, which costs $35 more, but ships immediately. Even though I play USFIV on XBL and SFV isn’t released until next year, I prefer to receive the stick quickly to use it for my PS3 fighting games and MKX on PS4. 3 months is more than I’m willing to wait for. If it is received by local customs, it may even be delayed to September or October. I’d rather pay $35 extra to receive it asap.
Right now I don’t see the point in doing so. Everything except for KI that is played in Tournaments will be moved to PS4 or if anime will stay on ps3. The 360 will be phased out by EVO, so I don’t see the urgency.
For better or worse, I’m just glad that 360 is getting phased out (and I don’t play UMVC3) and other than KI, there is no big reason to get an Xbone for most of the scene. So that leaves PS4 as the upcoming main console for tournaments. So I’m really contented to just have PC, PS3, and PS4 support on the Kuro VLX. The only other thing I would have wanted is to put in a PS360+ for PS2/Dreamcast support and play CVS2, Project Justice, and FUC but I could just get a Panzer Wide Body later and have that be my dedicated stick for those games.
BUT BUT BUT WHAT ABOUT MAHVAL!? no screen tears please! 360 is the mahval truth!
MKX is region free on XBox One but not on PS4… KI is exclusive, and I’m betting Tekken 7 comes out on both systems with better net experience on the Xbox one… sooo …
I’m just saying there are some reasons for 360 and Xbone functionality.
I’m gonna use my cronusmax for now since I don’t play UMVC3 or KI at tournaments. I’m secretly hoping to do a legit universal mod in the future!
But as @buyproduct mentioned, there are more than enough games on the PS3 and PS4 to keep us busy for years!
The thing that I am really waiting to see is what the backlash will be over the lack of back/select button on the PS4. So many of the pros use blinking/slinking regularly. Either the PS4 version of USF4 includes software button mapping for a select analogue or you will hear some talk from the pros to return to the 360.
Technically, you can change the configuration of the Share button so a light tap doesn’t trigger the Share menu. The default is that you light/short tap to bring up the Share menu and hold down the Share button to take a screen shot without bringing up any menus. In the configuration menu, you can switch these functions around. To reiterate, you can technically still use the Select button for slinking without interrupting the game, you’re just going to take hundreds of screenshots before your set is over.
Well I am talking from a tournament perspective. Due to its size I would not be using it for tournaments anyway, I would just dual mod my travel stick if I played marvel but I don’t. I could see others being interested though.
I get it because basically ps4 will be used for everything but that KI though! I might catch some flak for this but I think that’s the best fighter that’s on current gen right now (at least til Ultra gets released). That game and things like netflix are the only reason I use my xb1 lol.
I’m thinking about ordering the gamer finger buttons as well how do they feel to u as you play I’m thinking about going with the blue switches… Also is this v4 viewlix the same size as the v3? I’m thinking about changing my artwork but can’t find a template for the v4
