hi guys, im new here, this is my first post :). anyways, just got my vlx delivered and already switched out everything for sanwa parts. i did try out the hayabusa and kuro buttons first though and i thought that they were actually really good. i just personally dont like the feel of the hayabusa and i wouldve kept the kuros in but i really wanted white buttons.
i also have a rap4 kai, and the kuros that came in the vlx are noticably better than the ones in the kai. The ones in my kai squeak just like others have experienced, but the ones in my vlx dont squeak at all and they even sound and feel more solid when pressing. when i was removing them i noticed that they all had a little white dot under them unlike the ones that came in my kai, maybe its to mark a newer improved batch or maybe they test them for quality and save the good ones for the VLX, i dont really know. what i do know is that they do indeed feel better so i switched them into my rap4 kai.
I had the exact same experience with the Kuros in my Fighting Edge (fine) compared to those in my HRAP4 (squeaky/sticky). I wouldnāt be surprised if Hori is cherry-picking parts for the top of their product line.
Does Hori send a couple hole plugs with this? Never mind, it looks like there are a couple that come with the stick based on the pictures a couple pages earlier.
Iām glad everyone is excited to get their sticks⦠I unfortunately get to wait until September to even see mine, unless my wife decides to send me pictures with ransom notes attached making me promise to take her to fun places in California when I get home and we fully move out there. (Remember, Iām deployed right now.) I guess the positive is I get to wait to see what you all do and donāt do with them and can prey upon the lessons learned
Itās variable. When I had my HRAP V4, it was my R2 button that was the squeaky one while the others were good. I sold the whole stick before I broke it in. I have silenced Kuros on my Silent V. Hayabusa, and I didnāt need to break them in at all. Theyāre great as is now. So itās a crap shoot really. I hear that some people rub down the extra plastic from the sides of the plunger and add some lube and theyāre good after that.
It be funny she sends to you in small box, wrapped in paper just the ball top (maybe with some fake blood) and include a ransom note.
Make it seems like the kidnappers who sends a ear or a little finger of their captives to the personās family.
Well, if the product value isnāt available anywhere, even inside the box, I donāt know what customs will do, but they can use an arbitrarily high value (e.g., pay US$ 3k for a stick, ouch) or perhaps even return the package⦠D:
None of my Amazon or sticks I got from MadCatz had the price on or inside the box or on the invoice, only the email order confirmation shows the price of those items
probably scanning the bar-code shows the price etc at the post office/customs or whatever
