Hmmm. Canāt say Iām impressed by Horiās packing skills. They sure could learn something from Madcatz, specially being in a country where people pack pretty much everything beautifully. http://i.imgur.com/GeSxQZg.jpg
-@Ziiro91 Couldnāt agree more about the plastic parts.
-Buttons donāt squeak.
-Itās heavy, but comfortable when playing on my lap.
-Still have to check the assign function, but I donāt think Iāll be using it.
-I hate the (options) button.
-The cable compartment door still sucks.
-The touchpad feels kinda fragile, IMO.
Also, no picture, but took 3P and 3K buttons out because 8 button is dick.
About the plastic, from the looks of the photos of your VlXās my Fightstick Pro came with the same small issue, I think they spray the plastic with something to give it a matte bumpy texture because on my stick thereās a lot of parts that were missing or uneven and was shiny plastic instead of matte/textured and some parts even sticky as if they over sprayed.
I am thinking the squeaking is partially based on how tight the button holes are.
The kuro buttons squeek the worst in a Mad Catz panel (which are a tight fit anyways for Sanwa and game finger Buttons; I tend to use Seimitsu screw in buttons).
Wonder if thereās any way to make the door nice and solid without changing its appearance , they should of used much beefier hinges and a magnet to open and close it or something :o
Both could likely be beefed up. Magnet closure would be ideal for the latch while steel could likely replace the plastic pieces that go into the case for the hinge. Just need some epoxy and a bit of creativity.
I think I would just try a metal rod roughly the same diameter of the plastic post. Cut to size and then epoxy all the way across the door so it goes in both sides. I would need to actually see the door to be sure it would work but the prototype in my imagination works fine
Yeah I guess no use trying to figure out what to do when I donāt even have it yet, hopefully everyone will brainstorm later and come up with a nice fix because Iām not the best at being creative.
I guess theyāre shipping them out in the order they took orders. I ordered mine like mid-March so I hope I get my tracking number soon. Itād be neat if I got mine on the 3rd instead of having it shipped out on the 3rd and wait another week or so. At least Iām getting my Silent V Hayabusa on Monday!
I feel like Arcade Shock over hypes things way too much. The claim they āsold outā of their pre-orders but Hori USA still has them for pre-order. I definitely take everything ArcadeShock says with a grain of salt.
