Warranty is worth a shot even if youve modded your hardware imo. i once sent back a RROD 360 that i had opened up and softmodded to MS, warrantysticker missing, and i got It back, fixed, with the softmod still in working.
So I inadvertently tested something on my PS4 earlier.
I normally play SFV with my VLX Kuro, obviously in PS4-mode. This feels ānormalā to me, so that was my baseline.
My other stick(s) are padhacked with a HFC4, also in PS4-mode. They donāt really feel any different than the VLX Kuro in PS4-mode.
Because I was already logged into my PSN account on a DS4, I tried to play SFV with the same sticks as above, but in Legacy-PS3-mode.
The padhacked HFC4 in PS3-mode felt fine with Legacy compatibility.
However, the VLX Kuro in PS3-mode felt awfully sluggish in Legacy-mode. Almost like if I was playing with the stick switch in LS mode (but I clearly wasnāt).
No concrete measurements or anything, but it just felt off. Iād like to think that it wasnāt just in my head, but anyhow. Maybe Iām just crazy.
Iāve wanted to try to work with vinyl for some time. It wasnāt easy! Especially around the edges >_< but I think itās an OK first try =) I will try and redo it soon, when i get some more time =)
Thanks!
I bought the vinyl wrap on eBay, look for car vinyl. All you need is a hairdryer/Heat gun and a squeegee and remember to treat the surface with some alcohol before you begin applying the vinyl, I used YouTube for tips as well
Apple can be surprisingly lenient about warranties. I had a dead early 2011 Macbook Pro. The whole line had problems with logic boards shitting themselves. I sent a pretty angry email to Tim Cookās public email address and got a response within a day or two. I had upgraded the ram, replaced the optical drive with an SSD, upgraded the spinning rust disk⦠etc. etc. Got it back with a new logic board. No one mentioned a damn thing. This was before the recall even happene.d
What Dubon is talking about isnāt unprecedented. What Iām suspecting here is that the Xbox in question was in queue with a ton of other Xboxes. With a huge backlog, it probably wasnāt worth it to investigate the request and do any sort of warranty due diligence. Especially after the constant news stories of how often these things just shat themselves.
That being said, the warranty on a VLX probably isnāt worth much anyway. With the EZMod, itās just not worth it to ship the bloody thing. Shipping back alone just makes my mind boggle.
Well care to explain about this? Refusing to service a laptop because someone is on active deployment.
There should be no reason Apple could not accommodate someone who services in the armed forces.
Iām kidding about going to 10 button. I think the hate for 8 button is just so absurd though.
Iām not Tim Cook, so I donāt know what to tell you. Iām just telling you my experience. In my experience, Apple support tends to be fairly straight forward, take out any third party ram, your data could get wiped out so make sure you have backups(and they give you an amazing backup tool with Time Machine).
