Only thing I can think of is the touche pad will not work in PS3 mode.
But I think that is a moot point.
I was not too fond of the kuroās. I didnāt have the patience for them to break in as I believe arcade buttons should not require a break in period. The fact they were squeaky and felt wobbly out of the box really turned me off. The Hayabusa however, is a decent lever.
I have an LS-32 on order that Iām planning on swapping the Hayabusa out for, but I was curious if anyone has a solution for a stick cover for the LS-32? Iād like to maintain the all-black aesthetic, if possible.
I used a rolled up roll of sandpaper on a power drill to thin out the inside of a JLF shaft then sanded it a bit shorter to match up with the ls-32 shaft.
I think there was someone that used scissors in some video to cut the inside of the shaft cover too
Interestingā¦so itās a pretty close fit, just the inner diameter of the JLF stick cover is a bit too smallā¦
sooooooooo⦠is it bad that Iām thinking of getting this and I donāt even have a PS4 yet??? :o
also⦠are they not making any more of these once the pre orders are done???
Just like the other 2 previous version they are very limited
Pardon my ignorance on the subject, but is replacing the Hayabusa stick with a Sanwa JLF relatively simple? Is there anything I need to do other than disconnecting the stick from the PCB and removing it from the metal panel? My only two sticks have come with Sanwa parts in them, so replacing the joystick is new to me.
Yep simple, remove the balltop from the stick, remove 4 screws, unplug the 5pin harness and put the JLF in, 4 screws, balltop, harness done
So temptedā¦I was able to order the USF4 from Amazon yesterdayā¦Ahhh! Donāt know what to doā¦
Yep, the VLX are released in very limited quantities. The first edition PS3 and Xbox 360 VLX sticks were Japan exclusives with US collectors paying out of their nose to import.
The VLX Diamond was even more limited by number, there were a few enterprising individuals who bough the Diamond to the US.
So having the PS4 VLX in the US at all is fricking luck on our parts, and kudos to Arcade Shock for making those negotiations happen.
As for the Hayabusa Joystick, I think its how the JLF should have been in the first place, then again I got so fricking tired of all the terrible JLF mods
(as a modded JLF still feels too much like a JLF) and the JLW & Seimitsu offering became much more appealing. But to each their own.
[EDIT]
Opps I got that backwards. LOL
Forgot that the first VLX has the US relase and the Diamond had to be imported, but stillā¦
The original VLX was available in the U.S. from Hori USA & Amazon for $300. The Diamond version was a Japan exclusive but Arcade Shock imported over here for ~$325 - $350 for a limited time.
Oh I got that backwards.
New though
I already asked this on the facebook group but I post it here
To those who are familiar with the Hrap VLX, think this will work as a replacement for the button wire harness?
www sparkfun com/products/11765 - Disregard, this connector is the wrong size
This connector here
Pre ordered. Now the waiting game begins.
Iām thinking I might remove the metal top piece and have it chromed. Anybody seen or heard of anyone doing that with the VLX? If so, please post pics or links.
Well people are planing the same thing but with powder coating. I donāt know how well chrome would hold up.
Sounds like a fingerprint magnet.
Obligatory d3v āI want one so bad, but I canāt afford itā post.
I might get mine powder coated at some point, but I want to see how the stock paint holds up first.
