TDA is Team Dota All-Stars. When people usually say TDA we’re referring to the the TDA League on US East. A DoTA league is something designed to minimize leavers and griefers. There’s a requirement to get in, and you get noted for leaving/destroying a game.
In the case of TDA, the requirement is either having a certain number of (quality) posts on the forum, or having 25 wins in BNET Ladder. The requirements seem arbitrary at first, but they’re designed to be annoying so that someone can’t leave a game, get banned, then simply create another BNET account to play again. A person in TDA with a certain number of games can also vouch another player for a single game. If that player leaves however, both the voucher and the vouchee get banned.
The level of play is also pretty low, but it’s higher than pubs, and if you have 5 friends vs 5 friends, matches usually turn out good. TDA is also a good gateway into the higher leagues, as it gets you introduced to non-em games, and working as a team.
lol good point, i just saw this pro player do the same thing, but everything he did was unorthodox, he had lothars with butterfly and buriza, built an orchid from farming, and he just spams stuns/missiles everytime you’re near a tree, plus my attacks would be nulled cuz of WR, i noticed that he would activate it all at once lol, which makes sense cuz he built lothars for the need escape if WR ran out.
Pros get to do whatever they feel like because they can farm like machines. Its awesome when pros player heroes that shouldn’t even farm well but then come out ready to roll fools. Lion getting Dagon / Sheepstick / BoTs in like 20 minutes, without killing anyone.
Yeah it’s true. If i’m playing a pub, I get radiance on anyone simply because it’s so easy. If i’m playing an agi character i get treads and then just eaglehorns for the next 5 item slots.

i got banned from tda for being going afk in a game that was long over. those assholes won’t lift my ban because i only had like 60 games on my account. RAWR!

Started playing TDA games again. Some of the worst DotA players exist in TDA. The only difference is no one leaves. Its sucha horrible trade off cause if my team sucks I automatically wanna leave, even when I’m owning.

I find better players in pubs to be completely honest. TDA is shit because its filled with a buncha fucks who think they know best. They’ll refuse to help you on ganks or back you up in team fights just because you disagree with them.
Ya tda is full of dumbasses, mostly because they just rant and bitch as if they know everything. Nobody has ever made a mistake playing tda dota, btw.
One change I think should be made however, is a kill ratio ff. I have played games where the other team has a 15-20 kill lead at or around 30 min. Staying another 20 min in that situation is pointless.
It’s a mix up for both, really. Pubs are completely open for anyone to join, but TDA isn’t exactly hard to get into either. If you want good games, find people who are good and play often. Then organize games together. That way > TDA & Pubs.

I love this game but i don’t know so much about certain things, i have 3 questions.
What’s the use of creep blocking? I see this all the time whenever the match begins.
I know that orb effects don’t stack but does that mean that all orbs won’t accomodate? I love the Mythril/Mljonir item, it’s my favorite item. I always get it for my heroes. Furthermore, my main question is does the chain lightning activate regardless of other orbs? Lets say, i’m using spectre. Now this hero works great with Mljoir however this hero is also recommended a Manta Style, Satanic item, Skadi. The Manta Style item allows mana burn (feedback); Satanic allows life steal; Skadi allows the frost attacks tjhat slows opponents. Lets say if i build Spectre (or any hero) with a Manta, Skadi, or Satanic/Mljonir, will i have a random chain lightning and a well working Mana burn,Lifesteal, or Frost-Slow attack?
I like Omniknight allot, but i don’t know how to build him. I’ve read some faqs on him, and i have seen that a Necromicon is a popular item on him. I don’t buy it, my first initial item to get is a blood stone because of the 250% mana regen, the HP regen, and the buffs it gives. Then i would most likely get a Mythril, Hood of defiance (because of the spell reduction and the high hp regen), curias and ginso (if i can reach them).
Is my Omni build right, Bloodstone/Hood/Mythril/Ginso? This is my normal omni build set up. I have tried Skadi and Satanic on him before, they all work well. But a hero with a Hex, random chain lightning and eventually a curias is just great in my opinion. Is necromicon that suggested?
still don’t play tda, just get with 5 friends and stomp pubs for fun (aka i get orchid and sheepstick on everyone)
