Why do they keep nerfing SK? He’s not THAT dominate and he certainly isn’t imba in any way shape or form… Hell he’s not even one of the best late game STR heroes, he’s just a great mid gamer.

His armour nerf was probably because he’s the best Cuirass carrier in a competitive team, and they didn’t want his armour stack to be that imba.
Really I thought Dragon Knight and/or Axe was the best Cuirass carrier, no? Dragon Knight with a cuirass is STUPID hard to kill…

You’ll never find DK or Axe on a real competitive team. They don’t contribute too much. Most of DoTA’s balances are geared towards competitive play… which is why it’s so great.
Either way, i’m still completely guessing as to the reason behind the armour nerf. SK’s str gain is nothing to write home about.
Does anybody else think the Broodmother is imba?
Really. Think what she can do.
a diffusal blade and wards own her so hard. pretty much NOTHING brood can do if in sight and purged out of ult.
her 5.84b passive was imba. Her lvl 1 ulti is really good (free relic). Other than that is like saying old naix was imba. Now almost every hero gets dagger so the slow is not that useful as it used to be except prolly for the miss.
im guessing also but the armor reduction to sk is meant for early game, you know, burrowstrike is too good in lane, is like a blinkstrike with stun.
Does anyone have a definative dota tier list for competative play? I have been looking for an hour and I cant find one. Just speculation.
The games pretty balanced with a few heros that stand out as being better than the rest.

This isn’t an accurate list, as tiers often change as teams either find new combos or adapt to play styles. Teams are learning how to deal with na, as well as mass aoe.
Add viper to the top tier list, and you’ve got a decent list.
Some dude did this thing where he analyzed league games, and gave points to heroes that were banned, or picked. A pretty good tier list came about from that. I’ll try and find it.

lol i missed those days, where u can stack vanguards on her disperse. She’s shit now in terms of tanking, good carrier mid/late game with HoT+rad build. She’s still my most picked hero on the recent 6.52 map. She can be seemed as rigged on a hands of an expert. But now that she’s hella nerfed, i barely see her getting picked (well if i don’t pick her), and ppl repick her if she’s randomed.
and yes i agree with ur list, i hate QoP counters my haunt, and her attack range is far imo. She’s a bitch with drow.
Seems like the competitive community is rarely playing the “Global strat”: Spectre, zeus, Furion.
haha you guys every played a game with slithice, phantom lancer, Nessaj, spectre, meepo all with manta style. Meepo with that joke manta build, net, haunt, pl+slithice+duplicate, nessaj’s ulti then all activate manta. Most entertaining game i played, its like 30 vs 5.
^ I’d like to try that sometime, but one echo slam + another aoe and that combo becomes no fun.
lol axe by himself could ruin them.
Sub out one of them for Dark Seer imo, that would be fun, cloning 10 heroes with a well placed wall…

I played ursa last night. . . I think hes by far one of the best / strongest heros in the game.
I was walking into teams with multiple disables and just insta killing the first hero that I got too.
Naga siren is definitely Top Tier, as well as Faceless void. I completely forgot about Axe too, hes one of the best.
I completely disagree with Nerub being good. Sucha newb friendly hero that can get pretty worthless late game.
Lina is not good either, neither is Warlock.
Pudge is top tier, I dont see how he isn’t on any tier listing.
