the problem with techies is basically you play it safe until you push then you buy 6 wards and he cant do shit, if you push with your full team and a set of wards it will give them a positional advantage at best and have 4.5 heroes vs 5 at worst.
sure techies can be a nuisance while playing the game occasionally, you’ll lose 300g to a hero who cant use it well and a few seconds of farming time. also in a draft game you can merely counterpick him with say, treant.
the only way a techies team will win is if that team is a level of skill or has way better heroes overall than the other team.
if you ward your own forests, the only time you’ll die to mines is if you try and forest gank or something, but most people dont tend to get that wards are by far the best item in the game at this point!
Techies isnt even a big problem though. Stasis traps are the only thing u need to set, and u use techies as bait to lead heros to your own who are waiting close by. Set some remote deep into their area (In between the 2 lane towers) if you wanna fool people.
Techies isn’t gonna chase anyone down for a kill, all you gotta do is practice avoidance and pay attention to what hes doing. The key to beating techies is learning techies @_@, then youre more aware of where mines are being planted.

Alrite. BTW, in case you didn’t know because you haven’t played in a while, vouches are one game only now. A single person can vouch all 9 people, but it only lasts the game. You can keep vouching each game though. Both people still get banned if one drops.
You kinda don’t sweat wards as much the more you play techies. your opponents will counter your bombs with gems no matter what so you’ll know what to do because you are used to it. It still sucks when someone gets a true eye, but the real problem is that techies can get killed by such a few hits. He’s too soft.
IMO, if you have a good vengeful by yourside, then you don’t need to worry about gem users. Swap em.

Last time I used him it was rape… just went two bracers/treads/bkb/satanic. It’s all he really needs.
EDIT: Oh yeah, my skill build was just bolt/stats/bolt/stats etc, GS at 6, cleave slightly early since your damage is high enough to take advantage of it with the bracers/bkb/stats.
